It is an average hotel for business or personal stay. Though the hotel offers all facilities you may get elsewhere, the hotel is surrounded by huge open area and this implies lots of insects, lizards etc. around the premises especially around the pool side. Wifi is not very good, and troubles you when in your room.

This hotel is to be closed for renovation from 1st July 2017. The present review omits what is likely to be out of date next.
The hotel is business-like, with little to impress but most thing functional, modern and efficient.
The restaurant offers food that is more international than local, with few choices for breakfast. Ramadan arrangements are offered, from 4 am.
The lavish garden merits more than a mention. Pity this was not the aim, as the garden is quite fit for wedding parties. When not inundated, that is. Mosquito larvae probably enjoy the place, but malaria pills are advised, anyway. The outdoor swimming pool, with a horizon effect, compares quite well with the beaches nearby (such as the Obama beach, with 'swimming prohibited' signs).

This Hotel could no longer be called Novotel. old bedding, wifi sucks, pool dirty and restaurant awful! The staff is ok but need to be trained again. Happily I red a notice in the room saying it will be closed in few weeks for renovation.

First, this is not a four star hotel, except perhaps by French standards: You have to carry your luggage, check-in staff was very casual when I arrived (but other shifts tended to be better later on), rooms are on the small side, and general hotel services are limited. For example, the shuttle service from the airport was very poorly organised, and it took me forever to reach the hotel.
Internet often fails (although this may be due to the service provider rather than the hotel).
The restaurant offers rather limited choice, with recycled leftovers served at the buffet. However, on one or two occasions, I had good meals.
Service is really the weak point: Some employees can be outstanding (but for some on one day only, and the next day they revert to their sullen arrogance), when you ask at breakfast for a spoon they tell you they have better things to do, and service can be very slow. The notable exception is the bar, where all employees were consistently good during my stay.
Regarding the rooms, I was first given one where internet was not working, and after insisting was given another one (where internet also was haphazard), where I had to move without any assistance (again not a feature of proper four star hotels).
I noticed, reading other reviews, that the general manager provides exactly the same stereotyped response to all complaints, so if he reads this message, he does not need bother to send me a reply.

Last week I spent 2 days at the NOVOTEL , while my stay was very pleasant specially with Service at the restaurant . Amazing folks always nice and pleasant I had an incident at check out . Since I had a flight leaving at 8pm I requested a late checkout as an Accor member it was not an issue so at 4pm I checked out and requested to store my luggage and in the process I forgot and left my wallet in my briefcase . 2 hrs later when I went to collect my luggage I realize my briefcase was opened . I immediately checked and notice money were taken out . So I informed the concierge of the situation realizing I was responsible for leaving my wallet but instead the supervisor spent time blaming me for leaving money instead acknowledging the issue . Very sad situation when they have cameras on site and no one could be blamed for. I asked to speak to the director who was very nice but was not able to find anything. Beware.
