Shame about the restaurant menu description
madgers47on 17/11/2017 21:42Hotel fine, good value like other Novotels. However the restaurant food quality, in my opinion, was not per the menu. My starter was anchovies and sardines with tomatoes - I could not find a sardine. The main course which my wife and I chose was pork sirloin, cooked with red curry and hazelnut peso and sweet potato crisps. We could not taste any red curry or hazelnut peso - a very disappointing meal. However the staff were good and fully apreciative of our thoughts, despite comments from the kitchen.
Unfortunately Not Again
OleDunkon 05/11/2017 18:27After my last (poor) review of this hotel to which I have returned many times, I have made 2 further stays. Unfortunately my bad experience with bar and restaurant service and also food means I will move on next time and stay elsewhere.
I tried, I liked this hotel but unfortunately the Hotel did not try to learn from the various complaints both on this site and in person.
Shame.
Great place to stay
richardhenryw2017on 18/10/2017 18:56This is our third time staying here, the hotel meets all our expectations and requirements. We normally stop off here while in transit from our UK home to our home in Portugal, the location is perfect and easy to find off the motorway.
Very good stopover hotel, just one issue....
MV1961on 11/10/2017 19:49We stayed overnight with our dog and on checking out we we're charged €20 for allowing him to stay. That does seem a little excessive and much more than we have been charged by similar quality hotels. Aside from that, rooms were clean and a decent size, but I felt that the rooms could do with a bit of a makeover.

davidhN163RQon 10/10/2017 16:47Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog, Obe, was well received and given a goodie bag. However the cost for a dog is far more in Spain than France or Portugal and feel it is way out of proportion. We were heading for Bilbao Port and used to stay in Bilbao but no longer a Novotel but have stayed at Valladolid many times before on our trips between the UK and Portugal. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and meal was good and a warm evening so able to sit on the terrace with our dog.
