Actually my visit with my wife there was from 14.2. to 15.5.
I made the booking in last year august. The reason for my booking was the low price, 550 euros per month including the cleaning once per week, electricity and water. Besides this, I got the option of special price, 25 euros per night of the extra room, if my friends come to visit in this year april or may.
When we went to the hotel with my wife, we heard, that the cleaning happens twice per month (not every week) and the price of extra room will be at least 60 euros. During our staying we had to change the rooms twice.
There is a swimming pool outside of the hotel. They closed the pool just in the beginning of the season, april, for to make reparation inthe pool. We got an information, that it will be opend in 15.5. When we left the hotel, the pool was still closed.
When we come to the hotel, we payed extra 550 euros ( rent of one month) what we should get back when leaving the hotel according the contract. When we left the hotel 15.5. I asked, shall we get that money back. No, they told, you must pay the electricity you have used (in the contract it was included in the rent) They will look first consumption of the used electricity and then they will send the rest of the money to my bank account.
Now I have waited three weeks for some message from the hotel. Nothing have come.
Because of this history I will never visit in hotel oceano atlantico.

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Just a stroll to the beech yet far enough away from the strip. Taxis are regular and cheap. I love the walk but at night a taxi is nice.
On site gym and indoor pool as well as outdoor pool.
Bar is nice and friendly. Not exactly rocking but perfect for a drink before you go out.
Rooms really clean. Notiing is a hassle to the lovely staff. Pleasant clientele. Possibly a hotel for the over 30s but it is beautiful. Lovely place for couples. Near cinema and shops. Stroll for a beautiful walk. Lovely in the morning.
Go relax and enjoy. We did.

Excellent apartment with an even more excellent bathroom and very good kitchenette and kitchenware. The views from 203 aren't anything to write home about and catches the sun early morning. The WiFi signal is only good if you put your device in the centre of the bed on the right hand side but it is very good in the very nice pool area opposite the main entrance. The area was quiet as it was early in the season. The beaches are about 10 mins walk are gorgeous and sitting on the cliffs watching the sun go down is highly recommended.

Second time I stayed here and I will be bad. The apartment was just beautiful and modern. It was spotless, all mod cons. The kitchen had everything you could need even a washing machine so no dirty clothes coming home. They had no kettle but that is the norm in Europe I didn't ask for one as I always take a travel one with me. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much bother. After seeing reviews about the food I decided to see what the problem was. I had breakfast one morning and have to say it was great, you have to remember you are in a hot country which do not serve their food that hot it sticks to the roof of your mouth. All in all love this place and will be back

Apartments are huge enough for a longer stay, but you need to buy all the cleaning staff - there is no such thing like dishcloth or liquid. Or you do not use any of this. We had no cleaning service as we just stayed two nights. They change the towels, that is all.
The breakfast room is ok - if you do not have two (loud) groups of travellers like a football team. Food is boring, very little selection, the juices are pure chemistry, coffee with milk is very sweet.
Out apartment was facing the ocean - but the loud street as well. Sleeping with open window - no way!
As Portimao is a tourist ghetto - we were happy to be there in April. I do not want to imagine how crowded the (beautiful) beach must be in the season!
We tried to find out where the centre of Portimao is - we found it, nothing spectacular, no history. Only tourist ghetto. This is a place we will not go again.
One and only thing positive: the service at the reception was very kind. They helped us with schedule for public transportation and we really enjoyed that smile in their faces in this impersonal area.
