What People are saying
For people who like architecture or shopping

People who like architecture should definitely visit this place. It gives an amazing atmosphere when you come, day or night. We didn't even buy anything, just walked around. Very easy to get there too.
Not a destination, but a good roadside attraction

We took a day trip into Osaka just to check it out (we stayed in neighboring Kyoto). The Namba Parks mall is so unique and unusual it is worthwhile checking it out as part of an Osaka experience, but it's not really worth making a special trip just to see it.
As others have said, the architecture and organic melding of nature (particularly hill-like contours and gardens) with man-made structures makes the place feel very much like a retro sci-fi utopia (in a good way). It's also massive and sprawling. If the complex had anything but mall chain stores in it, I'd be much more impressed, but unfortunately, there isn't much to experience beyond looking and walking around a glorified mall.
Nice greenery among concrete

The gardens built at each level of Osaka's Namba Parks shopping and cinema complex makes a pleasant visit. Beautifully maintained, and different at each level. After endless streets of food venues and shops, this provides a welcome touch of nature.
Very nice architecture

Nice place to chill out, great architecture, wide variety of shops and and Kids playground (paid) for kids to play at.
A huge mall - a waste of time

A huge complex of shops, restaurants etc. They're several buildings that are linked together and, according to my own experience, you can easily get lost here. I didn’t find the place interesting at all (even though locals are very proud about it) – it resembles any other western shopping mall.
