I attended an event at the hotel with a friend. We decided to stay at the hotel for convenience. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was attractive clean and quiet, the beds comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. Bath amenities were lovely. We had a relaxing dinner at the hotel restaurant, perfectly cooked salmon. Wine and spirits list was certainly adequate.Attentive cheerful restaurant staff enhanced our enjoyment of dinner. It's great to have a full service Starbucks adjacent to the lobby. I appreciated the computers and printer for guest use. If you need a hotel in downtown Ottawa I would definitely recommend this Marriott.

I attended an event Nov 15th held in the Summit Room. First of all, what an amazing venue for the party. I was a little dizzy but the views were amazing. The food was really great. We enjoyed a mixture of passed hors deurves, stationary platters and a "made to order" pasta hot buffet. We were so impressed with the wonderful service we received from the servers and waitstaff. One woman in particular made our evening very special. Her name was "Dennie Tshimanga" and she went above and beyond to see to it that we were well taken care of. I hope you know what an awesome asset she is to your hotel and please let her know what a wonderful job she did.

The location is obviously what they have going for them here and the staff was friendly, but I got to say it is absolutely ridiculous the cost of the rooms. I thought we'd have something pretty nice for what we paid for and was very disappointed. The room was right by the elevators where people stood and talked and you could hear them clearly in the room, there was this noise of something going on and off all night and it wasn't the heating system it was something else so if you cant take noise you cant sleep here! Any hotel room should be spotless and expected it to be but it was not. I opened a shampoo bottle in the bathroom to find a hair...obviously already used by the last guest and not replaced. Gross! The bathroom could not fit two people getting ready in the morning and the light switch wasn't even near the bathroom but at the entry to the room! The room needed an updating including the bed, the pillows were very uncomfortable which I thought was pretty unbelievable, it was like we got a 2 star hotel but paid for a 4 star. It was a very busy place and a lot of people so very noisy in the common areas but also it lacked signage so many people were standing trying to figure out which way to go, certain elevators for parking, etc and they could easily fix that with better signs. Oh and don't get thirsty in the room because the water bottles aren't free - they charge $2.50 for them! Definitely not impressed.

This hotel is perfect location when visiting Ottawa you are walking distance to Parliament Hill and ByWard market. Hotel service is consistent staff are very good and helpful with knowing the area and locations to visit. You can walk to ALL attractions within 15 to 20 minutes including the Rideau canal and your choice of many restaurants including ByWard.
