We headed for Ottley's Plantation Inn for 10 nights in March 2017, in search of rest and relaxation. From the moment we arrived we were treated as valued guests of the family, who were extremely welcoming and eager to ensure that we had a great time.
We were delighted with our spacious room on the first floor of the plantation house, with views out over the property and beyond to the ocean. How nice to have wooden shutters and no glass in the windows so as to enjoy the fresh Caribbean air.
We enjoyed spending time by the pool, sitting out in the large gardens or exploring the rainforest valley. Marty's garden walk was informative and fun.
We stayed on half board and have separately reviewed the restaurant. In short, we found the food to be of an excellent standard and with generous portions. We were pleased to try the featured menu every night with some fantastic surprises - best of all was the pork loin.
Our only 'even better if' relates to the bathroom which was a little tired, but that's one of the reasons why Ottley's has closed for a few months for refurbishments.
We had a wonderful stay and for us Ottley's is worthy of its five star rating on trip advisor.

Ottleys was more beautiful than any of the photos showed. The cabin where we stayed was incredible and was once part of the original plantation. The management and staff were fun and very helpful. Attitudes were wonderful. The food was great and the cleanliness of the property was top notch. We really enjoyed our visit to St. Kitts / Nevis and will return. Good luck Marty, Karen and others with your upcoming renovations.

My wife and I came here after 7 nights at The Nisbet Plantation on Nevis where we were on an all inclusive package. We stayed here also for 7 nights on an all inclusive package. We chose Nevis first at Ottley's was about 15% more expensive for the same package and we assumed it would be better, unfortunately it wasn't. I have reviewed the Palm Restaurant separately from the hotel. The room was spacious and overlooked the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens which are very pleasant and well maintained. Unfortunately the room was cleaned very well each day and the shower was never cleaned properly. There were marks on the floor where a tea bag had dripped and that was never removed in our entire stay. On several occasions the shampoo, tea bags etc were never replenished and we had to contact reception about it. Towels were only replaced on request unlike Nisbet where they were replaced morning and evening. The hotel is a long way from the beach and a shuttle bus which runs only once per day takes about 30 minutes to get there. Taxis from the hotel to anywhere on the island are expensive. We were disappointed to find that even though we were on all inclusive package at breakfast we could either have fruit juice or fresh fruit but not both. One morning the tea that I was given was cold and when I told the waitress and asked if I could have coffee instead she didn't apologise or offer to make a fresh one. For a four star hotel we were very disappointed with the standards and service.

Made a special trip to the Royal Palm Restaurant and it was worth it. The food was unique in its Caribbean flair and very good. Service was attentive and friendly. Lunch main dishes range from $15 to $20.
Bonus was meeting one of the owners - Marty.
Thank you so much for the personal tour of your beautiful property. The rooms are unique and well furnished.
Will be staying at Ottley's Plantation on a return trip.

We stayed at Ottley's Plantation Inn for 9 nights. On arrival we were greeted in a helpful and friendly manner. Our flight had been delayed by 7 hours and our luggage was missing. The staff couldn't have been more sympathetic or more helpful. They upgraded our room to the gorgeous "English Cottage", where Princess Margaret had once stayed. It was large and very comfortable. The whole hotel is small and beautifully situated with an ambience of peace and calm.
Food in the Royal Palm restaurant was of very high quality and the chef went out of his way to ensure my dietary needs were met.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
