My wife and I visited here on a wet and gloomy day, it was still very nice but wouldn't say it is amazing, nice views, price is a bit expensive though

The rope bridge is a fun little stop. The views from the surrouding area are magnificent. This is on both sides of the bridge so if you don't want to cross the bridge, that's ok too. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the bridge so be prepared. And don't forget your rain jacket/umbrella. The weather can change quickly. It went from sunny to rainy (downpour!) a few times just in the 1-2 hours we were there. And I recommend using a wrist strap on your camera/phone, people have lost phones/cameras when they were dropped from the bridge.

About a 10-15 minute walk to get to, the carrick-a-rede bridge is well worth the hike. Definitely suggest wearing hiking shoes or tennis shoes. To cross the bridge, you must pay 5 euro and 50 cent (I believe this is the price). We stopped here on a tour with the Finn McCool Tour Company.
The walk across the bridge is not for those who are afraid of heights, as even with the wind it feels like someone is jumping up and down to intentionally make the bridge wobble — and it is quite the drop below. Careful with your phone! Or it might just join the hundreds of other phones in the water below.
Once across the bridge, watch your step as it's easy to slip and fall on even the smallest of steps on the island. We were here on a sunny day, and the views were FANTASTIC! Stop and take a seat to take in your surroundings. On a clear day, you can see the faint outline of Scotland across the ocean. A beautiful stop for some beautiful views.

If it is raining you might want to give this place a pass because it is a bit of a hike from the parking lot out to the rope bridge. IT wasn't when we were there and we saw really nice views of the countryside, cliffs, the nearby islands, and of course the rope bridge. Don't worry about the bridge, you do need to pay attention when walking across but there are nets and falling off or through is essentially impossible.

Although the rope bridge itself is quite short, it's still fun to cross and the hike to the bridge provides stunning views and good exercise! Arrive early in the morning to avoid the tour bus crowds and a wait to cross the bridge.
