Disappointing
2Wyldon 13/10/2017 02:00We reserved two nights at this hotel thinking it was the Oxford Inn. I guess Quality bought it since we stayed there last. We had reserved and paid for a king suite with a kitchen for Friday night and Sunday night. When we arrived we were put into a king wheel chair accessible room. We then said this must be wrong and showed proof of payment for the king suite and all the front desk person said was our system doesn't show that and we don't have anything else available. I can understand of the hotel is fully booked but I would have expected at least an apology and an offer to at least refund the difference. We cancelled our Sunday night stay and will not go back. Very disappointing since this used to be the place we enjoyed staying at.
In Transition, So Give Them A Break
Tom Ton 21/09/2017 17:27This may be the first review of this Quality Inn as it is new to town. We often stay at Quality Inn's, and when this one took over the old Oxford Inn in Silverdale we thought we would give it a stay.
The lobby is tired and small, with 4 tables for breakfast. We were worried there would be no place to sit, but when we came down, it was not crowded. The food is standard to most Quality Inn breakfast menu, sausage, muffins, gravy, some eggs and breads.
Our room had been recently updated with new paint, carpet and furnishings. Towels were thick and nice, Our room was very CLEAN.
The staff were all attentive, but the front desk seemed stressed. We were not provided any info on wi fi or breakfast at check-in, and there is no info available in the room on these features or on neighboring places to eat.
I would stay here again without hesitation, and would 'cut some slack' for the efforts to improve this facility, it will take a few months. Again they are in transition and deserve a break.
