Great place to stay with good food twice daily!
Jay Con 13/11/2017 19:07We went here last week for business travel, and are glad we made the decision to stay here instead of in Paradise, where our business was. Mostly, it's due to the great breakfasts, including cook-to-order omelettes, and the nice evening receptions that always included at least soup and salad and a light pasta salad or something like it. They also give you two drink tickets to use per evening (for beer, wine or soda).
The exercise room was also nice, and unbelievably it had both a dry sauna and a steam room, in addition to three motion machines and a couple of weight machines, plus towels, a TV and a water cooler. My only complaint is that it was too warm in there, so I opened several windows while in there, which helped.
The lobby and staff were great, and there were always fresh-baked cookies in the evening, and enough newspapers for guests until late in the day most days.
My king bed room was great and very quiet, with a good-sized TV with many channels, a sofa and coffee table. There was a 1-cup little coffee pot, so the only upgrade I can think of would be to make that a 4-cup "real" pot instead, although at least the 1-serving coffee pouch was Wolfgang Puck, and it wasn't bad (Peet's Coffee would be a nice upgrade, though, along with a larger pot).
The bathroom contained an isolated shower/tub and toilet, with the vanity in the entry area of the room, outside the bathroom. That makes it possible for two to be getting something done concurrently, with privacy for the shower/toilet person. Works for me!
I hope that despite the great reviews they'll keep getting, they keep the prices as affordable as possible, and especially keep the State of CA rate. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, after this great experience!
Can't say anything negative
J R Won 10/11/2017 00:42My wife and I stayed here for two nights while we were having a new fuel system installed in our truck. The company doing the work put us up here and we were really impressed. The reception at the front desk was very friendly. I had to drop my truck off five miles away and the hotel provided shuttle service to bring me back and the driver was very prompt and very friendly. We were within walking distance of a number of restaurants which was helpful. The room was large and had every convenience we could have asked for. The bed was firm and comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. We enjoyed our hot breakfast buffet which is way more than most hotels provide. We did not take advantage of the evening reception but have heard it is also very good. Certainly will stay here again next time we're in town.
Had a great stay
Jim900on 31/10/2017 14:20We were there for work, so the boss was paying for the rooms. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with this hotel. The rooms were large and nice, the hotel quiet at night, the bed comfortable. The WiFi worked better than most hotels. In the morning there was breakfast that was much better than most hotels usual fare. In the evening Mon-Thurs there is a managers reception in the breakfast room that was a pleasant surprise. Within walking distance is an Applebee's, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster.
This hotel is clean, nice, friendly, with a good location, and .... I usually try to balance a review the good and the bad but there really wasn't anything bad.

When we first walked in the lobby, we felt welcome immediately by the warm smile. Nicholas Merlz helped us to check in. He was very friendly. He checked us in efficiently. When he handed us the keys, he asked why we were in Chico. My husband said it's our anniversary and he always wanted to visit Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Nicholas recommended few places for dinner. When we came back from dinner, we found a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates, 2 bottles of water and a wonderful greeting card with "Happy Anniversary" on the envelope! We were surprised by the gifts. We greatly appropriated it! Thank you Nicholas. You made our anniversary very special! Anna&Mike
Short Business Trips
823dagmarbon 18/10/2017 23:16Oxford Suites are very handy to stay on short business trips. Staff is friendly and helpful. Accommodations are reasonable, affordable and comfortable. Slightly upgraded rooms have desks and couch. microwaves and fridge. Rooms are quiet and clean. Breakfast, included in price, is not gourmet food, but plentiful with lots of healthy choices included. Do not expect free evening reception to supply much variety or good wine or beer. but it is nice enough for a little snack. Lots of business travelers, but also very family friendly.
