Lots of poor reviews for this hotel but all I can say is don't judge a book by its cover.
Yes the hotel is old and faded but the room was clean, with clean fresh linen and bedding. So no issues there.
Bathroom was clean and nice hot water for my shower at 5am when I left for work.
Its a budget hotel and the price they charge reflects quality of the hotel.
I would have given it 5 stars but the new owner decided to turn off the wifi in the bedrooms, forcing me to sit in the bar and do some work.
Overall its value for money for a budget hotel

Booked two rooms for 28 Oct. first room had obviously been occupied and not cleaned, takeaway remains left in waste bin, bed sheets dirty and just thrown on bed. Told reception who then allocated a different room. The other room had a broken shower that could not be turned off so dripped all night and caused floor to be flooded, told reception who said yes it's being fixed next week!. the window frames were covered in black mould and the ceiling looked as though there had been a water leak causing the ceiling paper to come loose. As it was passed 9pm when we arrived it was not possible try another hotel. WIFI does not exist although booking confirmation said it was available, again reception said being fixed next week!.
In our room (34) in addition to the faults stated above, there was a strange circular item covered in paper and taped up on the wall above the bed, which I assume was where the wall light should have been situated. also as someone else reported, no wardrobe in room.
Suggest this place needs to be bulldozed and totally rebuilt.

Very shabby rundown hotel with a antiquated lift, Room small with v hard bed - it was difficult to sleep at all as window didn't close properly hence very draughty ! Left early in the am & didn't even go back for our second prepaid night.opting to cut short our visit &~ drive home,.Overall not a pleasant experience.

Run down ,rough car park,needs updating ,lift old and not always working ,Beds uncomfortable,pillows too small , No wardrobe , rooms a bit shabby.
On the plus side friendly staff,good breakfast easy to access.

Basic hotel, friendly staff and satisfactory breakfast. There’s a pool table in the bar area which is good for a few drinks.
Yes the hotel is dated and could do with improvements but it was OK for a one night stay before Creamfields.
