What People are saying

Gorgeous Service and Staff

Melis Mon 16/07/2014 15:55

Staying at this great hotel was outstandingly fun. The staff was quite welcoming, friendly and polite. The service, needless to say, outgrew my expectations. Surrounded by the nature, it also has a stable, full of horses. I, with most pleasure, recommend this hotel to everyone. I am going to come back next year, for sure. Thanks for all their services. It was a nice stay.

Magnificent Hotel & Horse Riding Club

Padok is an Magnificent Hotel & Restaurant with Swimming Pool & First Class Horse Riding Facilities. This marvelous hotel is situated in a Pine Forest near the Bay of Gökova in South-Western Turkey. Hotel customers get up in the morning when the birds chirping in the surrounding forest and citrus orchard. Padok Premium Hotel & Equestrian Club is a family run place with polite & helpful staff. Food in the Restaurant is also so delicious. The Hotel is about 60 kms from Dalaman and 105 kms from Bodrum-Milas International Airports. The prices are reasonable when one considers the quality and the privacy of the hotel.

It helps if you like horses!

Mary Pon 26/09/2013 23:36

I love horses and have one of my own... but even for me this was quite a bizarre experience. Turkey isn't known for its horses, or for riding so to find a four-star hotel built around an indoor riding school with the rooms over the stables is really very weird! Outside is a huge arena with a full set of showjumps. The rooms are perfectly nice, big and very clean. The bed was absolutely enormous! The young woman on reception spoke excellent English and was very helpful with everything. we arrived very late and even though they had officially finished serving food she got me chicken, rice and salad.

The only noises we heard from the horses was the occasional whinny, we did not experience them kicking whilst waiting for their breakfast (although this is very common in stables, so to be expected really). I went to see the horses in the morning, they all seemed well cared for, but for me personally the stables were too small and full of dirty bedding. I was also worried that the horses are kept stabled all the time and as they are internal stables they don't see much light and sunshine - but I might be wrong about that. Loved the bunnies in the gardens!

I wish I'd had time to take a riding lesson but we had to leave to get to the coast. If you're a rider and/or a horse lover this is the place for you! If not you might find it very odd indeed!

Great idea - terrible staff!

First, This is a great facility! What a cool idea... My room was so nice and comfy - the bathroom was great - I felt like I was back in the States! I enjoyed walking around and watching the horses and riders. But, the staff was awful! This is my first bad review... I have been many places where no one spoke English, this was just rude... I was ignored by all of the restaurant staff... breakfast, lunch, and dinner... there was hardly ever anyone at the front desk... On checkout day the desk didn't even up until 9 and she was late so 9:15... I had requested laundry service the day before just after lunch and my whites were still wet when I checked out... but I had a plane to catch... If you need a good shower and bed - go for it - but don't count on much else!

Very nice stay and horse riding instruction

This is my second time at Padok, and as usual the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was super clean and tidy w a nice view of the citrus orchard from our balcony. You sleep on top of the stables, and may hear the horses stir in the morning - love it! They take excellent care of their horses and ponies, and they have a quite a few. There are also 5 bulldogs roaming the grounds as well as a slew of bunnies, so you need to enjoy some animal life. We come to Padok to ride and had nice instruction sessions morning and evening, and spent the rest of our days lazing by the pool or strolling the hillside. You can eat in or go to the sea-side, Gøkova or Akyaka at night. Some of the staff do not speak English, but they do give it a good try, the horse instructors, however, do! I really loved the ample Turkish breakfast.
