We visited the Palace Hotel Citta in October as part of a Saga Tour. Reception was friendly and efficient.
The room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke so we had to change( surprised they allow smoking in the rooms)
The room itself was dated and there was mould on the bathroom tiles. The TV was about the size of a large handkerchief. We felt like second class guests as the Saga group had reduced menus and had to sit on different tables than other guests. The main waiter in the dining room was rude and abrupt. Even though the menu was short they even ran out of food and the answer was "finished". Food itself was variable but the fish was good. Food at breakfast was adequate but the scrambled egg and bacon was cold.
I don't know what Saga paid for the hotel but it was not up to standard and the experience was disappointing.

The hotel has a good location, clean and middle size rooms with balcony and nice view but they need renovation as soon as possible. Sheets are clean, beds are comfortable but carpets and bathroom equipments are very old.
Breakfast was very good and staff is also kind and helpful.

We had a nice stay in this hotel. The location is excelent and the staff is superb. The bar has a good choice of beer/wine and the pool area and terrace are a big bonus. Free parking and wifi are a plus. We felt very welcome and would gladly return to this hotel.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Arco where we had a very spacious room with big balcony at the front of the hotel and to top it all the sun shone most beautifully for us. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food good. One bonus being we could buy carafes of local wine rather than order bottles which we had to do at the other three hotels on our two week tour of the Italian Lakes. There was live music in the bar one evening after dinner which everyone enjoyed. There is a bus stop outside the Palace Hotel Citta where you can get buses down to Lake Garda and other surrounding villages. Arco has a nice park area and lovely shops and cafes/restaurants as well as a magnificent Castle for those who have the energy to walk up to it. We managed two thirds of the way and the views were stunning. Well worth the effort. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel and rooms were soooo HOT! We arrived 16th October to be told that the advertised air con and climate control was turned off on 1st October - and couldn't be turned back on despite the warm weather and baking rooms! The officious receptionist assured me and fellow guests ( and our tour manager ) that it would cool down once the radiators had been switched off ( no individual controls). Despite further complaints over the three nights we were here it remained unbearably hot at night (no mosquito netting so you leave your window open at your peril - take lots of bite spray etc!).
Finally, on the last night I asked to speak to the manager who agreed my room was very warm and let me have a fan to use - something that the receptionist had assured me the hotel did not have!!
The food was nice enough but the poor waiters were run off their feet as there were three large groups all eating at once and only three visible staff. They were putting the main course on our table before the starters had been finished!
A reasonable choice at breakfast was spoilt by a very rude waiter -Albo - when I pointed out the toaster was not working. He shouted at me and took my slice of bread from my hand!! I had used the toaster successfully the previous two days ( the rolling type ) but he insisted I could not do so today unless I used the cardboard pre sliced type ( it easily took thinly cut fresh bread, which was much nicer).
Not impressed!
