Due to the scaremongering on tv and in the press and as a first time turkish holiday maker i had reservations, I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is situated right on the beach, the sea was warm and as flat as a mirror, there was no trouble getting a sunbed...bonus!
The staff were very pleasant and the food lovely. The hotel is attached to a bar/restaurant where you can sit and people watch. Our room was below street level but had a private terrace,t.v. and a fridge.The only drawback is that it didn't have a sea view but you can't have everything. ...highly recommended for a low key relaxing break in the sun with good food actually on the beach

Excellent location, a very nice small hotel with good service, good breakfast, small but tasty menu for lunch or dinner. Right on the beach. Eat your breakfast or dinner listening the waves. Beautiful warm sea. If you have a car, it might be difficult to park but not impossible. The hotel is right in the city but still looks as it is outside. You can walk to the shopping area and to other restaurants in few minutes. You must also visit Alanya Castle while you are there.

My partner and I stayed here in September and chose this hotel mainly because of the price and good reviews. The good points are it's superb location on the beach and close to all the bars and restaurants. Yes the rooms are basic but they were very clean and the shower worked well. However, although the air conditioning works, by the time you've got yourselves ready in the evening the room has only just started to cool down! We had a great view from the 4th floor but it was hard going climbing stairs in the heat as there is no lift, on the plus side it gave us some much needed exercise! The 2 waiters and sunbed man were lovely and friendly but the receptionists and a few of the staff (owners?) idling in the restaurant weren't at all. The food is good in the restaurant but it is quite expensive, that being said we found Alanya to be quite expensive. I found the breakfast a bit of a let down, it was virtually the same choice every day but the omelettes made to order made up for this . The sunbeds directly on the beach are not free, only the few beds on the hotel balcony are free. Swimming pool is small but looked very clean although we never used it. The beach is beautiful, the sea is quite rough but I like it like that and the view of the castle from the beach is great. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and for what we paid for the hotel we could not complain at all. I would definitely go back to Alanya and the Palmiye Beach.

We visited Palmiya Beach in August 2015 as a Married couple.
A long transfer from the airport did not help but did not reflect on our holiday experience.
Upon arrival we were shown to our rooms which resembled something out of Prison Break! Please check out photos as closely resembling prison cells.
Beds average comfortability factor4/10....
Apartment room facilities Average.
Bed & Breakfast basis...food slightly below average.( found caterpillar in salad) Limited choice of food, glad we did not stay half board!
Free sun beds which was a bonus.
Beer average prices served by Nigel.
Indoor swimming pool
Large sun terrace with umbrellas if they are not broken.
Unfortunately within the first week of our holiday my wife had suffered an accident jumping off a pirate boat into deep water, thus fracturing her vertabrae. She is still recovering now.
May I add this has no reflection on our holiday tho we did spend more time at the hotel than we would had done.
Oh do not succumb to the Free TAXI to the harbour to the restaurant as you have to pay extortionate price upon return ...In case your wondering if am 50 and wife 56..
