Tucked away from the beach, Pande offers a peaceful and secluded retreat from everything, and I was made to feel very welcome my entire stay, the rooms are clean, tidy and spacious with good amenities. They also have the Hi-Tide restaurant on Palomem Beach, great locale with good food and service. Great experience all round, highly recommend.
Not so good experience

There was no handwash or such thing provided to us. Water was leaking all the time from AC and breakfast was so pathetic. Even rooms were not being cleaned daily. Didn't like the experience and we booked it via OYO and it does not meet oyo standards in any form

Very close to raj bagh and parnem beach. Rooms are big and clean. affordable with limited ameneties. Service can a issue due to lack of staff. More of a homestay kind of arrangement. This place is close to lalit golf resort. Stayed for 2 nights.

Hard To Beat!

Set well back in a peaceful lane right next to a five star hotel (LaLite) in Rajbag Southern Goa, Pande Residency boasts five rooms, all of which come off a delightful communal seating area. Rooms 104, 105, 106, 107 & 108 are rented out. I was allocated room number 107, which came with a large comfortable bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, a flat screen TV with international channels such as BBC World News, CNN, FOX, Discovery and a slew of movie channels including HBO. The room also featured a large attached bathroom, and two separate balconies, both of which had a table and two chairs. Bizarrely I was the only guest at this out of the way boarding house, even though it is only a ten-minute stroll from the beach. I can’t understand this, as the hosts are friendly and welcoming and offer what has to be the best deal in the area. A comfortable, cool modern room for the cost of a medium priced beach hut. I think they need to do some marketing!
Rajbag is the nearest, and the most deserted local beach, the sort of beach you are more likely to run into a native fisherman rather than another tourist. Once you strolled the length of this stunning white sandy beach with crashing waves to your left, you walk around a rocky headland that obscures your view; there you will step onto another picture perfect beach paradise, this one known as Patnam. Patnam Beach has a varied selection of beach huts available for rent, beach bars, restaurants and tourist shops, a barbers and international moneychangers. Rickshaw and taxies are also readily available should you wish to be driven back to Pande Residency, rickshaws typically costing no more than Rs60. Taxis Rs100.
There are two options of walking to the beach, turn left onto the road once you leave Pande Residency and you can follow it all the way to Patnam beach, but my preference was to turn right, past the five start hotel and a number of small local restaurants, then skirt along side the side of LaLite’s boundary, past their immaculate golf course and helipad. To get onto the beach, follow the path through the fisherman’s huts, it’s that simple. Strolling the beach any time of day was magical, but it was especially so at dawn with it’s soft coral pink light. If you fancy visiting more of a touristy beach, Palolem is also an easy walk away, boasting a myriad of restaurants and bars that cater to all tastes and budgets.
I couldn’t find a single thing that I didn’t like at Pande Residency, apart from having to leave after my weeklong stay. I will be back and, I can wholeheartedly recommend this boarding house to everyone thinking of holidaying in the south of Goa. Due to Its safe location, it would suit lone female travellers, couples, or even groups of friends or large families who could book adjoining rooms.
If you rent a scooter or motorcycle during your stay, Pande Residency have gated off road parking available too to help keep it safe and secure at night.
Should you wish to swan around the swanky LaLite hotel and perhaps use their awesome pool facilities then, it costs no more than an, (expensive) drink or two to do so. They also have an inedible beach bar/restaurant located right on Rajbaag beach that you cannot fail to see, that is also worth at least splurge, if not more!
