The only good thing of the hotel is the view from the front on the Sorento bay. The room was small, the walls are like a paper. If you want to make love keep it quiet if you don't want to give your neighbors audio porno entertainment. The shower cabin is suitable for skinny people only. The breakfast for European is dull (ham, salami and cheese) . Wi-Fi in the Lobby. Not suitable for wheel chairs. Probably the worse hotel which I stayed in the last 10 years.

I was enjoing every moment. Very beautiful time spent here, polite and nice gesture. On the right place, nice environment and very clean. Nights next to sweamming pool are excelent for relaxing and clear from stress. Wish to come again !

We were a family ( 2 adults ) in a group of tourists and spent 7 nights / 6 days with the base in this hotel . Of course I read reviews before getting there but could not get a real idea, as the ratings were from "horrible " to "very nice " !

So I am writing this after I was there - to the best of my sincerity and objectiveness :

- I can agree the hotel is only 3 ( international ) stars ; the 4 ( Italian stars ) are given especially for the location . The panoramic view over the gulf of Napoli and Sorento is amazing and probably one of the best in Meta !
Location is also very good to visit Sorento , Amalfi coastline , Napoli, Reggia Caserta, Capri , Vezuviu, Pompeii , etc

- due to the position on a cliff , not all the rooms can have sea sight . But the ones with sea sight have no balcony and many people staying there complained about the noise in the street over night ! Our room looked to the inner yard and had a big terrace where we could sit ,relax and had a beer . If you want to see the panorama , just go in front of hotel where is a small square with benches and the outside bar of the hotel .

- the room was large and cleaned everyday , with normal furniture , a small tv set ( all programs in Italian ) ,big bathroom . Indeed towels were similar to table cloth (!) but they absorbed water very well !

- breakfast is probably the weakest point of this hotel - it is the same every day : same 2 types of salami , pressed cheese , milk, cornflakes, croissants , cakes, butter, jam , coffe, tea and same juice ,fruit salad . No eggs, no vegetables . Dinner was ok - tasty, especially Italian dishes .

- stuff was very friendly ( like most of Italians ! )- and ready to help . A special thanks to the two waiters in the restaurant on the 3rd floor !

- free wifi available in the lobby only and in the rooms close to it ; lobby itself very nice and large .

- I read that some people complained about a nearby clock tower announcing the time every 15 minutes with its bells . Well, this is subjective ! For us , the sound was very pleasant and I dare say I preferred it instead of the noise of cars, buses, trains or metros in a big city .....

- down the cliff you can find several nice beaches with cristal clear water .

Tips :

- best time to go there is in may or september - no need for A/C as weather is mild and very pleasant for long one day excursions .

- do not travel with your own car , unless you are a super driver and do not care about scratches on both sides . Rent one. A small one . A very small one !!!!

- learn a few basic Italian words and use them as often as possible . Italians are very friendly , amiable and appreciate very much if you try to speak their language .

We enjoyed the stay there- it was one of the nicest holiday we had !

My final opinion : in any case you cannot say the hotel is "horrible " or "very bad "
It is a good decent one .
I do recommend it .

Needs some improvements

Stayed here in a twin share room as part of a Topdeck tour for 2 nights. The wifi was good but only accessible in the lobby area, not my room. The air conditioning in the rooms was controlled by reception. They switched it off at night meaning the bedrooms got hot. You can't open the balcony door otherwise mosquitoes eat you alive. When we complained, they said it was not hot outside (!) therefore the AC self regulates and switches off. If your customers want the AC on, it should be put on - end of story. Your customers are the ones that decide whether or not they feel hot. The breakfasts were abysmal. The coffee and tea were weak and flavourless. Why not make some proper italian coffee for guests? Fresh fruit would not go amiss either rather than stodgy croissants and cakes. The juice was not freshly squeezed either. Crazy! The hotel is in the land of citrus! Given the small size of the room we were in, I had to leave my suitcase on the floor. I came back on day 1 to find my case zipped up with all contents thrown around inside as the cleaner obviously wanted it out of her way. I didn't appreciate that. Other than that, the views from outside the hotel were nice and it was reasonably clean.

Room and bathroom were large and spacious enough. Stayed in room close to reception area on bottom floor, so still received free wi-fi in room, otherwise free wi-fi only works in lobby area..
The view from our room was quite nice overlooking Sorrento bay. Was a while out from Sorrento main town, too far to walk, but bus stop at bottom on road could take you in. Hair dryer provided in bathroom pretty awful. Lobby nice looking. Breakfast provided was continental with the usual choice, nothing too exciting on offer.
