We stopped here on our way to Mojacar from the ferry port in Bilbao. As we are Amigos, we received our glass of wine and stayed on for more wine and a snack in the bar which was lovely. The chap on reception was very helpful and we had a nice big ground floor room. As my wife has just joined the Amigos loyalty scheme, she gained us free breakfast which, in my view, is one of the best things about Paradors! A huge, huge variety of foods - a section for local items (migas de pastor?) plus decent coffee - cooked to order as well as all the usual things these hotels are renowned for. We shall be back!

Peaceful parador and a welcome stop on our 600 mile journey from Bilbao to Mojacar. Toby Dog was given his own welcome pack of food but was limited to the room and the route to the car. It would have been nice to take him onto the bar terrace with us: we could have left him in the (bath)room but he doesn't like being left, and a 100 euro returnable deposit is required to cover any damage. But he was fine in the back of the car with the hatch open so he could see us (enjoying our bar snacks and glass or 2 of very good local wine!) Next day we had a fab breakfast and left well-rested - and with our deposit unharmed.

I thought it worth adding to previous reviews to comment on the food. We have eaten here on three occasions, lunch and dinner.
A few days ago we spent the weekend at the Parador de Alarcon, delightful place, and on our way home we had lunch at Albacete. The food was so much better, which with a very similar manchego style menu was interesting to see just how much the skill of the individual kitchen counts.
This experience mirrored that of coming home from the parador de Almagro last Christmas. On that occasion we stayed the night, and dinner was just so lovely after Almagro's fairly indifferent offer. What's more the hotel was Warm!

An otherwise nice stay was spoiled by a rather unpleasant old lady in the reception. I expect as a customer to be met with a friendly and welcoming attitude. This Parador is unlike other Paradors in that consern. I have never seen a moore unfriendly attitude from staff in a hotell.

We're avid Parador fans and are rarely disappointed. This one, near the motorway outside of Albacete, rose above our expectations. A purpose built, "bungalow" style hotel with the main building in a square surrounding a quadrangle of grass and flowerbeds etc with seats, and a wedding going on. (Beware of Saturdays: there is often a wedding going on at Paradors!). However, our room was well away from any noise and we heard nothing of the music that was going on after we had finished dinner Yes dinner in the attractive restaurant was pretty good. We chose the 32€ 3 course menu which does not include drinks. Staff here and elsewhere were polite, friendly, cheerful and helpful. Our waitress and young waiter, from France, helped our dinner to be most enjoyable.
Our room had a spacious bathroom with two basins and shower-over bath. BUT no grab handle to assist those of us of advancing years to step in and out of the bath safely. This is essential in any modern hotel. Please fix it Paradores! Also, the area round the window was very cluttered with a table, desk, two chairs plus office chair.
There was a fridge and safe and TV with limited foreign language channels. And no BBC.
We enjoyed our one night here and would stop here again on the way to more Paradors!
