Our room was of a good size, well appointed and comfortable. The choice at breakfast was very good but we were disappointed by the limited choice of menu in the restaurant for the evening meal. Also, we thought it pricey considering that the food was sometimes mediocre. We found local restaurants to be much better.

We drive from the Costa Blanca to Portimao in Portugal at least once each year, and have discovered Antequera as a great place to stop, and the Parador as our preferred hotel. It has nice rooms, a good restaurant, and is within an easy walk of the city.
Look for the half board rate - it makes things so much easier!

Service was as one can expect from the Patadores Hotels, but the overall atmosphere in the hotel is rather clinical. Great views from the restaurant. Good location for day trips to Ronda, Granada, Sevilla.

3 couples; we used Antequera as our home base for exploring the more rural areas and smaller cities of southern spain; would we go again - yes absolutely; the dining area has great panoramic views at breakfast; we found the hotel to be a great value; there are excellent restaurants in the town of Antequera - consider taking a taxi, though the hotel restaurant was very good.

This is a large modern parador just outside antequera. - walking distance. Sizeable grounds. The first modern parador we have stayed in. Lovely swimming pool and surrounding furniture. Staff were efficient and helpful throughout hotel. Bedrooms were a good size and well furnished with ensuite bathrooms. Standard rooms do not have balcony. Large dining room with interesting lighting made up of 50 or so individual lamps. Lovely food - content and presentation. Excellent service levels.
