Delightful Parador in nice location with excellent restaurant. Superior Sea view rooms recommended. Reception staff could be more informative about things to do in local area and provide helpful advice.

just back from a week's holiday at this lovely Hotel
It was pure luxury, from the Bedroom to the beautiful sea view from our big Balcony
The Staff were very attentive from the Restaurant to housekeeping staff
my Husband has been learning Spanish for a year and to the delight of the staff, he did make himself understood with various conversations with them and they took the time to speak with him.. which was quite funny at times
the location was high on a hill, with beautiful gardens to wander about (which we did several times)
the pool which we used was always empty and like a fridge but it did not stop me swimming
the layout of this beautiful Parador was stunning, with a bus stop at the bottom of the gardens to the local town
we explored Santa Cruz several times, with its Art Galleries and museums
we also went on two round the island trips, which is a must
The Restaurant was very spacious with the option of sitting outside, the Breakfast meal was extensive with various choices of food and very filling
we had a few evening meals, but stuck mainly to the Bar meals as we found the 3 course meal filled us up and we are not big eaters..... in all an excellent Hotel with very high standards and lovely staff

Not your everyday tourist hotel. A nice location close to Santa Cruz, not too commercial. Great breakfast but needs improvement on dinner quality. Good value for money. Not the best Parador but probably one of the best La Palma Hotels.

The hotel is in a good location with easy access to roads. Rooms overlook the ocean, city of Santa Cruz, and port. We slept with the windows open and saw Venus and Orion every night; sunrises were beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and there is a high standard of cleanliness throughout. The staff could not do enough to accommodate us. The breakfast buffet is exellent. Evening meals are up to the normal high Parador standard. This was my second stay and I will go back.

The hotel is positioned overlooking Santa Cruz with beautiful views upto the tree covered hills and down to S. Cruz.Taxi fare from the airport 14 euros or hire a car at the airport which is needed to explore the island.Santa Cruz is worth exploring with some original old buildings or take a drive to Puerto Naos on the other side of the island,it is what you want to see do,everyone has a different type of holiday.El parador is an excellent hotel with large and pleasant rooms,it has an overall nice feel,all the staff are first class and take care to look after their clients.The food is top class,any celiacs like me are more than catered for.So to sum up ,a beautiful island,worth exploring,a great hotel,what more could you want
