This is an unbeliveable restoration of a castle. You get taken back in time looking out the turrets and wandering the stately halls. We had lunch in the bar and it was light fare and just what we needed. Later we ate in what we call the 4-5 star restaurant. We were seated on the glassed in porch just as a stork buzzed us on way to her nest. What a beautiful view of the valley.the food excellent. Try the sorbet after dinner..so refreshing!
The staff are marvelous. The front desk manager searched and found an adapter for my hair iron and delivered it to the room. The food manager and bar tender in one gave us a bucket of ice when they saw us melting.
This is my second stay here and hope it is not my last!,,,

Wonderful setting right next to a castle at the top of a hill in a small village. Beautiful views all around. My wife, however, was a little put off off by the dated and sometimes dirty or damaged furniture in the rooms and public areas. Had a fun time at the castle in the morning. A cute kindergarten class came to visit and the staff had dressed up in medieval garb to greet them and spoke to them all as if they were nights and ladies. After some rousing cheers, ¡Ataca el castillo!

Really nice place in a quite little town . Clean rooms . Good breakfast . Beautiful outdoors. To small elevators.indoor are beautiful kingly spaces . Close to main road to Madrid . Peaceful . Felt like living on XV century .

Love doing Hotels and I have done lots of Paradores, This is the best, the public lounges were fantastic, the bar over looking the castle was to die for, The staff were great and friendly, It was only a small town but it was quaint. Will definitely go back, Our room was on the 5th floor and was a corner room so it over looked part of the castle and the snow capped greddes mountains, fabulous.
We had a lovely meal in the restaurant apart from a grumpy old couple who were sat behind us who complained about everything from their room, the meal, the weather, the service, it went on and on. It didn't spoil our visit because it was such a fantastic place, We'll be back in October

An excellent example of the Parador hotels offering. The setting for this fine hotel is magnificent - a historic palace adjacent to a medieval castle at the heart of this small town. Our room was very comfortable, well appointed and with the added bonus of a panoramic view of snow-capped Gredos mountain range from its balcony. Superb food enjoyed in the restaurant and bar followed by coffee on the spacious terrace overlooking the castle and churches. Above all, the service provided by the staff in all areas of the hotel was outstanding. One of our top five Paradors.
