Reserved two rooms a single and a double. The double was fine but the single was closer to being a 'darkroom' than a bedroom. Not much could be developed in there.
The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was food for us and kept us going till midday
Overall the hotel was fine, clean and as I said.... a place to put one's head down.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel in two rooms. It is only 10 mins walk (with luggage) from train station, 7 mins walk to the Cathedral (centre of town) 5 mins to the ferry pier, 2 mins walk to the water and the fantastic walking paths that hug the lake, & there is a supermarket across the street. The staff printed train tickets for us, got us tickets to the funicular (steep train to Brunate) so we didn't have to line up, and were engaging and friendly with the kids. The rooms are small but there are mini fridges in the room, desk, cupboard and a comfortable bed what else do you need. Would love to return

We visited Como for a long weekend, and not willing to drive, we chose this hotel as its very close to the city centre and the harbour. It proved a good choice!
The hotel is some 15 min walk from the main rail station (depending on how heavy your suitcases are :), and later we found out that it's even closer to the other Como rail station (which I'm not sure what line is on).
It's very close to the small park and the boats harbour, as well as to the city's centre with all the shops and restaurants. There is a large Carefour about 3 minutes walking away, which is very handy.
The staff at the reception was very friendly and quick to check us in. We requested a quiet room (the hotel is on a main road), and we were given such room. Since the hotel is very compact, we could still see the main road but don't get me wrong - the main road in Como is not Regent street and with the good double glazed windows we had a very good, quiet sleep.
The room we were in is not huge but given that we only stayed there to sleep, we were really OK with that. The decor is fresh and modern and the whole place is very clean.
The bathroom is also new, very good size and spotless! It has a shower cabin and a bidet.
The breakfast is average for the category of the hotel. The food was fresh and tasty, with good choice and the salon is of good size so it was never crowded. The only thing I didn't like was the juice - it was rather the instant type of drink than a proper juice. However there was a good selection of fruits and fruit salads.
There is a small lounge beyond the reception which is beautifully decorated and offers a good space for chilling out. Thanks for the available umbrellas - we did need them one evening :)
Overall the hotel offers a great value for money and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a good place in good location.

We had a one night stay in Como. The hotel is good, the rooms were nice and clean but quite small. The location is good too - a short walk from the city center. Breakfast was good, but didn't offer much variety.

Older hotel in less than desirable area. Had I been traveling solo, I would not have stayed. Everything about the hotel felt as if it needed freshening up - from pillows to paint. Fairly easy walk to train station and nice breakfast. Otherwise, not much to offer.
