Good hotel
philstephenrichardson 19/10/2017 03:48I wanted a hotel within a short distance from the railway station and centre for an evening meal. This one ticked off both and was within my budget.
Located on the edge of the town, about 10 to 15 minutes from the station then about 20 minutes from the centre for a restaurant I had pre-booked. If driving, there was plenty of car parking space outside. Check-in was handled very well. My room was very spacious, comfortably furnished with a very good bathroom. WiFi worked well. Not used, the hotel has it's own restaurant and bar in case you don't want to walk or drive into the town centre where there are a few other restaurants.
I didn't take breakfast because of an early start. If travelling by train, the bar at the station was opened before 06:00.
Reference hotel to visit Mugello area

Position: In Borgo San Lorenzo, about 1km from downtown, excellent to visit Mugello area if you have a car
Parking: Excellent, private, outdoor, free
Reception: Very Good, friendly and professional
Comfort: Excellent, silent and spacious room
Cleanliness: Excellent
Internet: Good, free wireless in room, working but not so fast, can be improved
Television: Very Good
Pillow choice: No choices
In-room boiler: Not present
Elevators/Stairs: Excellent, I never waited
Breakfast quantity: Very Good, not so many choices, but all I wanted was there
Breakfast quality: Very Good, good juices, good croissants, excellent fruit salad
Checkout speed: Excellent
Hotel Restaurant/Bar: Not used
Fitness/Spa/Pool: There is a nice outdoor swimming pool (which I missed)

Subhajit Don 23/05/2016 15:56Value for money. Little away from city centrum. Nice neat and clean rooms. WiFi is not very strong. You can borrow iron box from reception. Buffet breakfast is very nice. Loads of items to be selected for your breakfast.
Pleasant with a certain charm
Zoe Son 30/01/2016 19:50I have stayed at the Ripaverde several times now as my company has a site in the area. I have always found the rooms to be clean and the breakfast very tasty.
The staff are always very helpful whether it is recommendations for a restaurant in the area or making last minute changes to trip length. I also found the distance to the Conad supermarket an added bonus when here on longer trips to pick up a few bits
As others have mentioned there is an 80's feel about the place but I think that adds to the charm, I certainly found it more endearing than some of the lower end chain hotels in the UK

GOH77on 25/10/2015 23:23Joking apart, all is fine about this hotel but its rather dated. It reminds me of the eighties. Management should really consider an overhaul and bring this structure to more contemporary times. Jade green glossy floor tiles are not the utmost to expect! Its unheard of having no power socket by bedside table to recharge phone, or having to plug in laptop with a socket in the bathroom to be able to use it. Not very business friendly at all eventhough Wifi is free and quite fast. Service and breakfast is good and cannot complain about them. Abundant free car park outside with many nice sports cars to watch out for!
