We were disappointed with the hotel, in my opinion it's in need of a refurb and it doesn't warrant the high price it charges per night. We stayed 2 nights. The decor in Our room although clean, was old and depressing, The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the fridge wasn't very well stocked there where a few cans of soft drinks and a couple of small bottles of water, there was no wine or champagne, nuts or chocolate. There was No tea/coffee in the room we had to order room service.
we dined in the courtyard resturant which was good we also dined in the beach bar which was across the main road from the hotel that to was also good.
After a long walk along the beach, We sat at the stylish beach bar both days and enjoyed cold beers and cava. You have to pay extra if you want to sit on sun beds on the beach, we enjoyed the hotel pool.

Please be aware of the points raised as it makes a difference to the cost of your stay.

We returned yesterday to the UK from our holiday in Italy.
The first ten days we spent travelling around seeing the beautiful sights of Tuscany and looking forward to our stay at Villa Ariston for four nights, relaxing on the beach.
After looking at many websites I decided on and booked Ariston Villa as it had a pool, lovely gardens, but predominatley because it had a private beach which we both wanted.
This swayed the hotel for us as we thought we would be able to come and go on the beach as when we chose. Perhaps spend the morning driving round and couple of hours in the afternoon on the beach or visa versa.
Your Website reads thus;
''Il nostro hotel 4 Stelle Superior in Versilia, che in passato ha ospitato tra gli altri il celebre compositore Giacomo Puccini, dista soli 50 metri dalla spiaggia di Camaiore, e si compone di quattro splendidi edifici separati all’interno del parco: la Villa, la Torre, la Fattoria e la Duse.
Per i vostri momenti di relax e benessere il Park Hotel Villa Ariston offre una piscina all’aperto, una spiaggia privata, una wellness room, palestre, campi da tennis e un parco giochi per i bambini.''
The key words being: "una spiaggia privata"
In English:
''In the past, guests like the famous composer, Giacomo Puccini, have stayed at our 4-Star Superior Hotel in Versilia. The hotel is just 50 metres from the beach of Camaiore and consists of four separate splendid buildings,
situated inside a park: La Villa, La Torre, La Fattoria and La Duse.
For your relaxation and well-being, the Park Hotel Villa Ariston offers an outdoor swimming pool, a private beach, a wellness room, gyms, tennis courts and a playground for children.''
Other pages on the website states "Private Beach" in bold, it even mentions under the title "The strengths of Park Hotel Villa Ariston" "exclusive beach establishment".
This is furthter supported by beautiful photographs showing Villa Aristons beach.
When we arrived and booked in there was very little information given, unless asked, but saying this, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our beautiful room didn't hold any information about the hotels facilities available or restaurant times etc.
My husband enquired at reception about the beach and was told there would be a discount charge for use as it was in partnership with someone else! Therefore not exclusive.
We very disappointed that we had been so misled, but had no option if we wanted to enjoy the beach as we had intended to do when booking.
I mistakenly thought the 38Euros was the full rate and we would be paying a discounted rate, so I was doubly disappointed to find this wasn't the case.
We therefore ended up paying an extra 144 Euros that we had made no allowance for, to spend time on the beach that your website clearly claims is part of the hotel Villa Ariston.
Park Hotel Villa Ariston is a beautiful hotel, exquisite buildings, with lovely, friendly, charming staff, in a fantastic location. It is just the issue with the beach so I hope you will look into the points I have raised and give consideration to compensating us for the unexpected costs we incurred.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sadly we have heard nothing. BE AWARE THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A PRIVATE BEACH.
Comfortable Great Location

The property is set back from the main road, however just across from the promenade of the lido which takes you to the fine dining of the area. Thte hotel location is perfect for a true relaxed lido experience. Short distance to the other beachside communities. The gardens around the Villa offer a nice place for reading etc. Service is good. This is our 2nd visit to the property in 18 months. Would recommend for couples or families.
The fish rots from the head down - Worth a third of its cost

If you boost a 4* Superior class and charge rates higher than 5 star hotels you give a legitimate expectation of a comfortable stay.
And you also expect to be able to discuss problems with a professional Manager.
Alas, none of the above was true at the Ariston.
At over €500 a night I cannot accept no porter to help you out with the luggage, a noisy minibar in the bedroom, a wardrobe with doors not working, only one "restaurant" (it actually is a pool bar).
Even worse, hygiene standards were not satisfying at all.
In 10 days I have never seen the pool being cleaned (you could also tell it by the hairs you found between your fingers when swimming). The breakfast chairs were ALL spotted with birds guano, and they did not change day after day... When I complained the waiters smiled and did nothing. See pictures enclosed...
I immediately asked to talk with the manager to be free to leave without penalty. He first agreed that he would try to improve but that he would not keep me against my will but the day after he WENT BACK ON HIS WORD and denied the early departure.
I even escalated to the CEO of the Hotel. A nice lady but without grip nor experience who anyway did nothing.
One more thing, trivial compared to what we experienced: also service was lacking at least. Everyday they could forget towels, courtesy shampoo or even their cleaning stuff in the bathroom...
It is a pity. The park and the buildings have a potential. The management is ridiculous, inept and outright mendacious.
Stay at Lido Di Camaiore area

Great hotel, lovely and helpful staff, however access to the beach is only allowed If you pay up to €50 EUROS daily, not what you are led to believe as in hotel web page it states access to a private beach is available. All the beach clubs adjacent to the hotel require payment onto the beach and all shut at 7PM, so no opportunity you eat there in the evenings. We could not see any taxi stands in this area so be prepared to walk walk walk.
