Good Property at Decent Rates in a great neighborhood of Ahmedabad

We stayed at the Parker Lords Eco Inn some time ago for 2 nights. Our experience was quite good. The property was located in a very good neighborhood of the city at a decent distance from Kalupur railway station i.e. Ahmedabad junction. The hotel was not a very large or imposing structure and had a small lobby and reception but it served the purpose. There was a small waiting area with leading newspapers of the day available for reading. The hotel did allow online and phone booking but there was an absence of WiFi or internet in the rooms and also there was no electronic key for the rooms. The room was small but decent for the price paid. It was equipped with a king sized bed, coffee maker, mineral water, business table and chairs, wide screen TV with DTH connectivity, a safe, a minibar and a small cupboard. The bathroom was small and had a muddy look, though the staff took great efforts in ensuring that it was cleaned. The room and the corridor outside had telltale signs of leakage something that the management should look into ASAP. The hotel had a restaurant on its first floor which served breakfast and meals. There was also an option of room service. Breakfast was served in the room on Sunday mornings. The breakfast was strictly limited and the quality was very poor. The bread felt and tasted stale, the vegetables used inside sandwiches were yellow. There were a couple of food items eg parathas which were tasted great, the tea was good too, but most of the bread-based food was plain bad. The hotel's main plus point was its SERVICE. We checked in just after dawn and the hotel let us check into our room without additional charge as the room was available. They also let us stay for an extended period on the day of the checkout, of course, for a reduced charge. The staff was very receptive and helpful, but they needed to be more educated about their hotel as there were found wanting sometimes. They were very enthusiastic, polite and as mentioned above, very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for its location and service but the traveler would need to go out for food. Luckily, there were a large number of restaurants around the hotel, so that should not be an issue.
Sad stay. Bad maintenance

Very bad maintenance and housekeeping. Dirty bed sheet and pillow covers. Bathroom towels are very old and stained. Room 202 walls are dirty and damp. A good location marred by bad management. Tiny lobby. Dirty reception counter.
Average hotel located at the heart of the city..

A good choice for a budget stay at the heart of the city. Rooms are medium sized. The main advantage of the hotel is its location. In breakfast you will get a very limited number of choices. Cleanliness is good. Staff is also supportive. M
Nothing special about this property

We have stayed in this property for three days. I found they have chain of hotel businesses. This property is not very well maintained. It is not at all a bad property but there is nothing special about it. The overall environment is very dull and the staff is ok. Food is good but they don't serve everything mentioned in the menu. The one thing I have not understood is why they charge Rs. 65/- (plus GST) for a cup of tea? And they do nothing different to match that cost. There is no reason which could justify why the tea is so expensive. Overall I feel there are much better hotels with better ambience in that area and you should check one before you book this one.
