The hotel is very well located, a five minute walk from the train station and Acapulco Therme. There's a restaurant where we had dinner during our stay, with a good selection of food. On arrival, we received two complementary bags with a dressing gown and a towel, which came handy for the spa at the hotel.
We travelled by train from Vienna and when we got to Wels, there was no bus service and Uber taxis. The next train to Bad Scallerbach was a two hours wait. We took a taxi which cost us £30.This was on a Sunday so maybe there was a shortage of public transport. This is not this was not the hotel'staff fault but maybe something that they could look into. We liked the hotel very much but thought it was a bit pricey. Some staff at reception could smile more.

If one is looking for a good example for a really nice and good working Family Hotel in Austria, you should have made your experience in the Park Hotel Stroissmüller in Bad Schallerbach. The Investments in the rooms, public areas and SPA were really superbe and the rate value is extremly fair. That maybe also the reason why this place is very busy and should be seen by various other hotelpeople in Austria. There they can see and experience how it should work. Congratulations to the Parkhotel.

I have been to the Parkhotel on a business trip for only one night. I was given a big, comfortable and quiet room on the 4th floor, where the Wi-Fi connection worked very well. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and was very satisfied. They have a wide menu (fish, meat and food for vegetarians too). The salads are ready to pick up, like by breakfast. I am sorry I had no time to enjoy the sauna. Surely worth a night there.

Stayed for two nights in early January. Was like a winter wonderland with covering of snow. About 10 minutes walk to Eurotherm but also has its own spa sauna area and indoor/outdoor heated pool. Room, breakfast and dinner good. Convenient parking underneath the hotel.

A lovely hotel right in the town center of Bad Schallerbach along its main street called Badstrasse. Spacious room, very clean, nicely decorated, large bathroom with separate shower and a bathtub. Wonderful view of the pool from the balcony. Hotel staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. This hotel has a sprawling well manicured garden and an outdoor as well as indoor pool and Jacuzzi. There are ample wellness services offered at their spa and a well equipped gym. The daily breakfast that comes with the room rate is absolutely excellent. Food served at their restaurant is likewise delicious tho' maybe a bit pricey, don't miss their salad bar! However, for a hotel in this category considering the room's daily rate, one would expect that it will be air-conditioned but sadly, it is not. In the midst of summer heat, the room we occupied was like a sauna so you can never get a decent rest in the afternoon unless you desire to perspire profusely! They need to upgrade the quality of the room's comfort in this aspect or at least provide their guests electric fans for relief... Lastly, this hotel is just a few minutes walk from Eurotherme, one of Europe's most modern Aqua-Thermal complex for people of all ages. Park Hotel provides their guest a 50% discount for the entrance ticket...
