Great visit to celebrate my sisters birthday
ASM2108on 29/10/2017 11:02What a great hotel - super location, easy parking, friendly staff and comfortable beds !!
The breakfast buffet is also a delight. Not an American buffet, but a fabulous European buffet. Great.
This hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and has plenty of space both in the general areas of the hotel and in the large rooms.
A real find. Highly recommended :)
Downtown City Hotel

A Worthy Hotel
ClaireWilson36on 07/10/2017 07:16This hotel is overall a good choice, although our room (#209) certainly has its foibles. This hotel seems to be located well in Bolzano. It’s right on the edge of the Old Town, so if you’re coming from the east, you don’t have to drive through the city to get to the hotel.
Also, if you have a rental car, there is an easy parking garage directly adjacent to the hotel lobby. Finding a space can be hard, but there is frequent turnover because it’s a public garage. The rate is pretty reasonable (13E daily) for a city garage.
The shower in our room is difficult to use. It is really an after-thought to the bathtub. It’s a hand-held shower that doesn’t work well from the wall connection, so you have to hold it. There is only a small piece of glass over part of the tub side, so water floods the bathroom.
We also had some trouble with sparking at the electrical outlets, when we plugged our adapter and devices in. This hasn’t happened at other hotels.
Room 209, though, is very large and nicely decorated. It has two comfortable chairs, a sofa and a desk. Plus, there is a huge closet space area.
The breakfast is superb—great selection in a very nice room overlooking the garden area at the front of the hotel.
We found the staff to be extremely helpful. Some speak English better than others.
More on the location: it is an pretty easy walk to the train and cable car station to Oberbozen (10-15 minutes). It is very near lots of great shopping (high-end), plus a plethora of cafes, restaurants, etc. It is 20 minutes to the archaeology museum where Otzi is.
The wifi in the hotel is excellent in both the rooms our group had, plus the public areas.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Unique gem to be appreciated
tallhouse381on 17/09/2017 14:46Have been coming to Bolzano for over ten years and have stayed at 3 other places of equal rating before coming here this year. The staff have been very friendly and helpful during our 5 day stay. The top floor room with a view to the hills was one of the smaller doubles but by no means tiny. The lift was a bit slow and temperamental but used the stairs most of the time. Breakfast buffet had all the usual items expected and seen at other hotels in the area with fresh flowers and autumnal vegetables decorating the tables. The spa was spotless and relaxing. The faux salt cave jacuzzi isn't as dreadful as has been reported in other reviews it's just a bit eccentric. I do have to admit to licking my finger and touching the wall to see if it was real. The choice of whether to wear swim trunks or go without is left up to the individual, though most went without. The overal appearance of the hotel could best be described as having period charm. There are interesting real and reproduction items adourning the walls of the rooms, halls and stairways. The furniture might be to some dated but it is in good condition and still serviceable and makes a change from the identical hotel rooms available from other hotel chains. It's a unique gem of a hotel that should be enjoyed as it is not as you expect it to be.
Hotel with a garden
SimoneLOLon 28/07/2017 17:23This is a nice old hotel with a garden surrounding, which provides a quiet atmosphere even if you live in the center of Bolzano. The room had good beds, pillows and comfortable linens. There was a fan in the room. The room also had large windows that could be opened. Bathroom with bath and shower. Klean rom. We had room number 111, a quiet room facing the garden. In-room minibar. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel which is very convenient if you come by car or motorbike. You pay a small fee to park here, but it's worth it. The staff is very service minded.
