Superb place to holiday

Most of the reviews here are based on a certain agent that rents out the apartments.
These apartments belong to mixed number of permanent residents and owners that let out the apartments as a holiday let via the agent who advertise it via the big internet websites.
As an owner of an apartment , I can say that it perhaps is the best apartment complex in Patacona Beach.
The complex is clean, well maintained and secure.
The restaurant serves good food at a very affordable price. A 3 course " Menu Del Dia" cost between €8 to €10 depending on the day.
There is a swimming pool ( opened unfortunately from only June to September) kids playground, mini golf, gym, tennis, Padel all set in lush green surrounding.
The beach is beautiful and is situated on the doorstep. A stroll down the beach is a must . You can visit many cafes and restaurant serving Spanish food from fine dining to some cheap and cheerful cafes serving tapas!
Bus stop is about 50 yards from the concierge and bus 31 takes you into the city centre.
Taxi ride to the city is around €15 and takes 5-7 minutes.
The seaside is next to the hotel, and the cafe on site is good

I stayed from March 24-27, departing on the 28th. The 2-bedroom apartment I had was clean, and came with a fair-sized balcony. The view was OK - although it did not look straight out onto the sea. The café was inexpensive and offered very fresh and healthy fish, fruit and salad. And a big sandy beach was right by the resort.
The internet is available - but I believe you pay for it after the first 10 minutes.
There were some downsides.
Hardly anyone speaks English - and the guy at the desk expected me to ring and notify him as to when I would arrive. I had thought booking on the site and giving my card details would have been enough, unless I was cancelling (which I certainly wasn't).
The apartment was actually rather cold at night.
The swimming pool was officially closed to guests when I was there. I did swim in it anyway - but after some time swimming I was ordered out. The pool is a large and handsome resource, and will be a key feature which attracts tourists to the resort, and so I thought this general ban was rather cheeky. A lady I spoke to was keen to try out the pool, and she was disappointed too. Perhaps it is only available for use during the Summer?
Still, a 2-bedroom apartment right on the Valencia coast (with the town very accessible) for only (circa) £50 per night is pretty good, and so I am happy to recommend it anyway.
No support

The apartment has some good points. The one we got was spacious and had a view of the sea. There is a little cafe on site which is good. The whole complex is secure so good for children. The bad thing we gound as a family is getting in and out as buzzer did not work and only one set of keys.
The bad points being no hot water until i fixed the gas boiler which is located outside in back of kitchen.
No kettle. Every time we trief to toast it would trip the electric. Not much responce from management.
You can easily get to city centre with nm 31 bus. Where u pick up the keys there is a little store for water etc at the back of the building
If u walk up the beach for 15 min there is a supermarket ,kfc and burger king.
What a disappointment!

We went for a 2 week holiday as family and stayed in the Patacona Resort Apartments (we had stayed here previously and it was great) this year however not so great :/ the apartment we had booked was a penthouse it was dirty and seemed to have been not clean prior to our arrival, for a penthouse you would expect to have at least a decent sized sofa which it did not, the roof terrace lights didn't work, the glass table was broken (and we had kids with us!). The fridge freezer (they hadn't got a new one!) didn't work properly unless you really slammed the door! The jobs on the cooker didn't let the gas out properly either so it took twice as long to cook anything then usual! The tv looked like we was in the year 1989 and not 2016! And to add more it didn't even bloody work! We was without a tv for 5 days before they brought us another one! Then the man they sent didn't even install in properly so we had to wait a further day for them to come and install it!!!!! The hallway light switch still broken since last year! Our list is endless out family holiday would have been ruined but we made the most of it and let it go over our heads as there was no point dwelling too much on the things that was wrong! This was definitely the last time we stay here never again! Patacona resort fix up especially when your Letting out a penthouse apartment guest expect 'Luxury Furniture not any old tat!!!
Extremely poor standard an dirty apartment

Booked trough Hotels.com. The check in went fine and they where helpful, when we parked in the parking basement it was extremely narrow for our car Audi A4, we arrived to the apartment on 1 floor and discovered a very extremely dirty apartment where the refrigerator had black strips inside and mold and mildew on the lists the freezer had so much ice inside that I stood open. A lot of the equipment was used without cleaning it after including pans, juice extractor. There was fingerprints on some of the walls and dirty spots and it looked like it should had been painted for 3 years ago. The the couch had a white loose sheet and the dining table looked like it was picked up from a recycling station. The view was direct to a old industrial land. We could not get in touch with the hotel and lucky for us Hotels.com helped us being relocated to another place the same day. Bye the way....it is not allowed to use the pool 2 hours in midday because of siesta. And it had a price for about 935 eur for 6 days...to much for a low standard and I have foto documentation of all the mess if anyone is interested.
