Service 5 Star
Lonnarticon 11/10/2017 17:35Just had a wonderful week at the Pegasus Hotel. We were fortunate to have one of the side rooms on the first floor as per previous reviews we could see that the front rooms would be noisy and not very private.
The main road was not all that busy compared to England but you did get a surprisingly amount of boy racers with loud exhausts on either their motorbikes or battered old cars racing up the road.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and very helpful 5 star service
The hotel overall would have got 5 stars but for a few improvements
1. Nice flat screen cable tv problem no English speaking channels anything would have been nice even Euronews.
2. Walls and doors paper thin we could hear next door using the loo
3. No wifi in rooms
4. Neighbours barking dog continually day and night
5. Lots of wasps a few wasp traps would be good a little girl got stung soon after she arrived.
All quite minor I know. Lots of positives
Rooms tidy towels changed everyday except Sunday
Beds comfy, lots of hot water, breakfast very nice with a nice variety. Pool emaculate lots of sun beds. Snack bar very nice and reasonably priced
We purchased 2 trips from the hotel. The grand island tour and old Corfu town both very good and much cheaper than the tour operator. Just a heads up the Grand Island tour if you want to visit the Palace is €5 and to visit the caves is €10. The old Corfu town we got dropped off and the driver said make sure your back by 4pm then drove off .
There are lots of restaurants a short walk away all good value for money.
We would certainly return Roda is lovely
Great place
ZuzanaLenarton 03/10/2017 20:34We stayed at Pegasus hotel for a week at the end of the september. The room has enough space for us, also balcony was spacious with a garden view. Room was cleaned at daily basis. I appreciate the receptionist, younger woman, speaking czech. She was really friendly, talkative and helpful. Breakfast was served at time and was regullary reffiled. We had a plenty to choose, but it was the same every day (pastry, tomatoes, cucumber, ham, cheese, beans, eggs, sausages, cereal, jams, cakes and joghurt). But everything was tasty and fresh. We liked our stay at Pegasus hotel, and would love to return in future.
Lovely Holiday Break
Loubysheron 03/10/2017 12:51This is a brilliant Hotel we were made very welcome by the staff and nothing is to much trouble, our room was lovely with a balcony and very clean and tidy, I asked for a hairdryer and was given one free of charge for the whole stay also in out room we had a mini fridge that was very useful too.
The breakfast was vey good and the snack bar near the pool was very good to as was the prices for the food and the drinks.
The poolside was very nice and quite too.
The town and the beach was only a 5 - 10 min walk and everything was in easy reach.
Would like to thank the staff for making our Holiday a lovely break.
Lovely! And Relaxing!
AWWTGon 20/09/2017 14:47We just had a one night stay here during our Corfu Trail trek but it was a very nice stop for us. We loved the modern rooms, air con, balcony and the pool was so relaxing! The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with good space. The staff was helpful and friendly and there was a nice variety of choices for breakfast including fried eggs which we didn't often find at many of the other places we stayed. The hotel is off the main highway but was very quiet and just a block or so to walk to the main shopping and dining area of Roda. Less than 1/2 mile from the beach. The wifi is great at the pool and in the lobby/reception areas but a little iffy in the rooms.
Room facing the road
trippers64on 15/09/2017 11:11Stayed at Pegasus for 3 nights earlier this week. After researching the hotel and reading the reviews, I opted to book thru Sunshine holidays because I did not want a room at the front, overlooking the road. Sunshine offered "twin room with garden view" as well as just "twin room". So I presumed that by booking "garden view" I would not get a room overlooking the road. However I did get a room overlooking the road despite having a heated discussion with the receptionist. She said that Pegasus do not distinguish between rooms and that Sunshine should not be offering different room categories. it turned out that the road wasn't too noisy, however sitting on the balcony on the front is not very private. Also the room that we were given did not have a partition between our balcony and next door's balcony, adding to the lack of privacy. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of our bathroom but this was soon rectified.
The next morning they moved us to a room away from the front, but I felt that the management were then a bit frosty with us for the duration of our stay.
That said, the room was lovely and the balcony was very pleasant to sit on and while away a few hours. Also the breakfast is really nice, and the pool area is superb. In summary the Pegasus is very good value for money and I would recommend it, as long as it is possible to pre-book a room on the sides of the building rather than the front.
