An average resort with less than average food

The charter BA flight from Heathrow was excellent and a great start to the holiday. The transfers were also well managed with MW reps present at the airport to ensure things went smoothly. The transfers took 2 hours but we did arrive in time for the evening meal.
The accommodation was very basic with little furniture or luxury. The rooms need refurbishing to bring them up to standard as presently they are barely 3*. The TV was a small portable with a number of channels but only BBC news and sky news in English. The bathroom was reasonable with a decent shower etc. The room had a small safe which needed a key from reception (25 euro returnable deposit). The room was cleaned every day to a high standard.
A ticket was handed out by reception on arrival for the beach towels. These were changed once during the week and so tended to get a little dirty. Return the towels on departure or be charged 25 euros each the towels, these were well worn.
The beach was great and everything we had hoped for. Lovely soft sand and plenty of sun beds which were free to use. The water sports were very well managed with safety the top priority all the time which was reassuring.
The food was the biggest letdown and was average at best. The same cold food every day with no variety at all. Cold vegetables and strange salad combinations were poor. Pudding amounted to angel delight with occasional cakes. The best counter in the restaurant was the salad bar which had a good selection of fresh fruit. Feeding time was like unruley school dinners with a free for all - arrive late and go without.
A good range on cannondale bikes were available to use with some pleasant routes from the hotel.
The hotel is very remote with no shops for quite some distance. Make sure that you have everything that you need on arrival. A shop within the hotel would be ideal.

Thoroughly enjoyable holiday

Contrary to many reviews on Tripadvisor the transfer to the hotel was fine, sure, it took two hours but there was free water available on a comfortable coach with air conditioning.
The room we had (Two adults plus an 8 yr old) had a king size bed plus a single for the child. It was basic, but the beds were comfortable after a days sailing and a good dinner.
We were lucky to have a room close to the main complex.
The food was generally excellent (Tons of fresh fruit including the best peaches I have ever tasted). Breakfast was not so good, a better choice of cereals and less focus on sugary stuff would fix this. At Lunch and Dinner there was a large selection of both hot and cold food and after two weeks it was not in any way getting "samey". Pasta with well made sauces was fresh and available at every meal - our daughter loved it and ate only that and fruit.The free wine isn't the best but it isn't the worst either and the wine available from the Bar was reasonably priced and could be bought to drink with your meal.
The water activity team were beyond excellent - I'm 52 and so 18 - 20 yr olds usually treat me with a a kind of "yeah Dad" attitude. Not here, everyone was enthusiastic, patient and helpful - most were clearly well educated and were chatty and friendly. I'd like to thank James and Fergal in in particular.
Also the childcare team, Roddy, the manager and Jade were particularly good and our daughter had an absolutely fantastic time during her mornings at Kids Club.
The swimming pool is big, warm and inviting - the policy of not hogging loungers is actually enforced which is great, there are plenty anyway but this hotel is on top of everything. Pool/Beach towels are available free, changed twice a week - nice fluffy and clean. The Adults Only pool is a godsend when those parents who don't think their fat, loud, unpleasant children splashing, screaming and squirting high capacity water pistols are their responsibility. You know who you are.
Hotel staff were all great - Reception staff spoke perfect English and were courteous and helpful always.
Don't expect to see much of Sardinia - car hire is expensive (£75 per day) and the nearest place of interest is two hours away. This is a resort holiday and fortunately there is enough to do to not want to leave the hotel environs. There is a Gelateria about 1/4 mile up the beach which is worth the walk.
The only criticism I would have was the quality of the wifi - it needs to be better overall and also work in the rooms - if you are self employed you can't just "check out" of the world for a fortnight and it can be tedious to keep a finger in the pulse when wifi speed is that slow.

Holiday post GCSE’s !

Great holiday with Mark Warner at Perdepera Resort. Great setting, well kept Resort, large and comfortable rooms with air con, nice veranda’s and lovely beach. Very relaxing after GCSE stress! Excellent bikes and sailing kit. Food a little repetitive after 2 weeks, but only a minor negative. Nice walk along beach to Pizzerias if you want a change of food. Would go again.

Nice hotel and facilities. Clean and very friendly. Wide choice of buffet food. Relaxed in the evenings. Very active days. Beach team were excellent and very helpful offering lots of advice on sailing and windsurfing. Wind conditions quite hard at times but the sun shone and a lovely place to spend a very relaxiing and enjoyable week.

Lovely location.
Beautiful beach and mountain views.
Well organised beachfront operation with helpful enthusiastic staff and good instructors.
Cycling excellent and varied road trips. Get to Jerzcu and Gairo if you can.
Demand for road bikes was high during our week so a slightly bigger stock would be good.
Enjoyed the restaurant food and the fantastic supply of local fruit.
Plants and garden around hotel very nice.
Very enjoyable family holiday experience
