Good hotel

The hotel was good. The location is good, close to the beach. The room was nice. It was clean. AC was available and working! The staff was friendly. The food was ok, good breakfast and for dinner lots of fish/seafood choice.

Greatly disappointed :(

We booked this hotel after seeing the pictures and couldn't wait to get there. When we arrived however we quickly felt the tense atmosphere that surrounds the hotel. We didn't arrive untill late ( around 11pm) and we were greeted with a stony faced reception from what I gather to be the manager. She looked at her watch, and then the clock and then remained glued to the computer screen without a word to us. We were given our room key and sent on our way. At breakfast we were stunned once again at how rude the staff were because the lady who catered to the guests At breakfast asked for our room number, without even looking up at us and that remained the only 2 words spoken to us for the duration of our stay.
We requested an iron and we were treated as second class citizens by being ignored at first, then told we would have to wait untill it was returned, we asked to be notified which failed to happen for for 2 days we had to keep asking which then led to the young staff member on reception becoming annoyed with myself, which again I could not believe. Upon request of our airport transfer information we, again we're tutted at, told to wait, asked to go away and come back again the same young girl on reception who dealt poorly with the iron situation was the one dealing with this request. We stressed the urgency as we were due to leave in the early hours of that morning and we had waited all day as we were told. We were then witness to her rudeness towards another guest where she did not even look up from the computer screen and shot one word answers at him.
I've never experienced such a lack of basic customer service and I'm so disappointed as the location is fab, a 3 minute stroll from the beach. The hotel was clean and the shower was amazing but the staff let it down completely. It's such a shame because it means we would never re visit or recommend. Please reconsider if you are thinking about booking here.

The rudest staff I've ever come across ......

Can here as it was a adults only hotel and it was our first short break without our children.
The rooms were clean and had no issues.
Good location only 3 min from the beach.
BUT
The staff were so rude to us, from the manager to the waitress at breakfast.
No good morning, no good evening no nothing.
On the second day we asked if we could use a iron and the young lady looked at my wife as if she wanted the deeds to the hotel.
We were told it was in another room and we could not have it. So we asked if they could let us know when they had finished again got a look of disgust her who asked what room we were in even though we just have her that and we must have been the only English in the hotel.
Another day passed , we walked in and out last receotion no smile, no hello and no mention of the 1 iron in the whole hotel.
So we were forced to ask again as we were going out for a evening meal for our anniversary and wanted to iron my shirt and my wife had a dress.
So we asked again and the young girl from the previous time looked at us with disgust again , asked again from the room number, no smile, no manners and very rude.
So she passed over a iron after we had to actually say can we have it or she and us would have just been staring at each other.

Then there was the other young waitress who meet you for breakfast , wow this young lady was something else, we looked her in the eye smiled and said good morning every day and she would look past you and say nothing, not a hint of a smile, she only spoke to ask the room which by this point all the hotel staff knew the two English people from room 106.
It would have been hard work for her to be this rude. Shocking.
The day before our last day we had to ask for our transfer time as it was a early flight so we knew we would be leaving in the early hours.
It was the girl who we had asked for the iron,
So we were polite as we always were and said could you please give us our transfer time ( the time gets emailed to the hotel In advance)

This was the worst type of service I have encountered and I had to really bite my lip.
She looked at us like what they hell are you talking about, we said our transfer to the airport.
She was slamming around on the keyboard, asking our room number for the 50th time.
She looked on the emails and simply said "it's not here's
My wife said could you please have another look.
The girl then stood up and was muttering under her breath in Spanish In anger.
Stropping about the place looking for a email.
Finally she finds it.
A email that had arrived on the first day of our stay and not once did anyone tell us , print the time off and put in our room , stop us as we walked past to say your transfer time is....
She printed it off and I could see the date and time off the email. It was opened and no one said nothing to us.

It tarnished our stay, we never used the bar or had food in the hotel due to how rude all the staff were. To be fair the bar and restaurant were dead , it's like they did not want people In there and could not be bothered, there was a spa and what was on offer or prices were never mentioned.

We only had breakfast twice in the week due to the cold reception from the waitress who litrilly went out of her way to be that rude.
We eat out breakfast lunch and dinner away from the hotel and they provided all 3 but the money we spent went to much nicer people in Blanes.

We will never stay there again, we were respectable guests and were always polite even in the face of the up most of rude people.
A smile and good morning take A second and makes you feel nice and valued.
Thanks but no thanks Petit Palau we will take our money somewhere else next time.

Two week annual holiday

Breakfast has plenty of choice and well presented, only down side is a limited toaster.
Beach is about 500 metres. We had a superior room which over looked the small pool. There is no tea or coffee facilities and although there are a good selection of complimentary toiletries once used they are not replaced. There is a good fridge and free safe, the bathroom is very luxurious with a walk in shower and bath. Kept very clean. The pizzeria is no longer open. We have had problems with the air conditioning keep switching off during the night. An information book in the room would be helpful.

Summer stay

My experience was pretty good.
Hotel is reconstructed, rooms are really nice, also hall and pool.
I was a little suprised, that personal at reception had a little problem with english.
Sea is 5 minutes walk.
