The room is very small even the hotel building is quite big. However, you find the things you need in the room, but there is no minibar in my room even it was supposed to be there. The breakfast selection is very good!

Location, location, location - but not a whole lot else. Completely worn out, but in a charming way - almost like a museum. Breakfast was ok, but not fantastic.
Check-in was lightening fast, check out likewise. Parking was good and safe.

This is the old good hotel of Aalborg. Rooms are not very moders, but addds to the feeling of a classical hotel. Beds are confortable and choice of tv-channels good. Friendly service at the desk and a good breakfast selection. Only disadvantage is the often very loud crowds of drunken Norwegians tourists during certain weekends.

Well the elevator was out of order, the rooms needs a serious renovation, the beds are so soft that you feel you are drowning. Besides that polite enough to keep up with their standards. WiFi very slowly in the rooms. That's all.

We stayed at the Hotel Phoenix at the start of a trip across Denmark using public transport. It is handy for the bus stop for the bus from the airport, about 50 metres down the hill.
The reception is not inspiring reminiscent of a provincial hotel from the 80s. Lots of dark wood, old patterned carpets and slightly jaded paintwork.
A good start was the information that the lift was out of service and clearly had been for some considerable time. Luckily our room was on tHe first floor! However it was next to the lift....so no bad thing that it wasn't working.
The room was spacious and well equipped, everything worked on the en-suite and although we faced the main road at the front it was not excessively noisy. A room at the back is probably worth asking for if you are there any length of time -we were only there for two nights.
It was Aalborg Festival and the hotel was very busy. Breakfast the next morning was a scramble with no organisation regarding seating etc. The breakfast buffet was excellent and was stocked up at regular intervals. However the coffee is dreadful and stands in an urn for the length of breakfast service. Tea was a much better option!
We did not use any of the hotel facilities or eat in the hotel. The price of dinner was however quite competitive with any of the restaurants in the town.
Overall it did for us as we only need somewhere to lay our heads and this was clean and comfortable.
