Playa blanca is a spacious, well maintained comfortable resort with good food, comfortable rooms and a goid atmosphere.
Staff are friendly and accommodating but could use some English language skills (Coming with some Spanish skills would also be helpful).
The resort is within an hour to scemic mountain mud and hot baths, Panama city and canal, and Penanome bargain shopping.
Inprovements could be made in evening entertainment which seems the same everynight and approaches just plain noise at some points. Shower water could be hotter but was refreshing. Bigger drains in showers are a must. Beach needs more aesthetic value.
Overall a great vacation and would recommend this resort.

The laguna- enormous man made saltwater pool is amazing & special experience! Resort is Not very English speaking friendly.
Most Staff little to no English....
As Most their visitors are Spanish speaking.
The game participants have a challenging time.

Let me start with the good ones Just came back from that resort with my 20 year old daughter who was celebrating her birthday. I was looking for a place that a 20 year old will have fun and that resort made it happen. Thanks God for the entire entertainment team at Playa Blanca Beach Resort. Because Sunwing rep Estelle and Jackson are useless only there to sale you excursion but if something goes wrong you screwed.
The food was great alot of variety at the buffet I didn’t get to eat to all the three “a la carte restaurant” because my daughter is allergic to fish but the Italian restaurant was very good.
The room that we booked with the package I was not too impressed about it no hot water for two days. We told Estelle the Sunwing rep about it she told us she would get it fixed and she did nothing about it. After 3 days with no hot water I went myself to the reception and complained about it they moved us to the luxury suite at the town centre. We had a room with a breathtaking view from the second largest swimming pool in the world apparently. If you are booking that resort we will definitely recommend The luxury suites town Centre at Playa Blanca very quiet at night and our room was always cleaned and you will have access to the wifi from your room.
Very good show at night and a diskoteca every night that you can party and enjoy some good Salsa, reggaeton, bachata, and some socca.
The staff are very friendly they speak very little French and English but we practice our Spanish.
I was told the Wifi would only worked in the reception area but I was able to use it in most areas of the resort.
Be careful with the Sunwing Representatives they are useless and only there to sale you excursion and you get no help after. The morning of our excursion (Anthon Valley) which by the way not worth the money my daughter and I were waiting in the lobby for a good half hour before the pick up time. The bus came and left without us. When the staff at the hotel called the Sunwing’s office the driver said he’s not coming back. I asked why didn’t he come closer at the reception to see if other people were waiting, how come he didn’t call the name of the excursion like they do in other countries. Why isn’t the name of the excursion is written on the bus? Doesn’t he have a lis with the name of the people is picking up? I was told it’s my fault by some guy on the phone because the driver called my name in Spanish and I didn’t answered. Yeplast name went from Ferjuste to “ Perousse” I spoke with Estelle from Sunwing she told me that they will reschedule for another day but only if they have enough people for the excursion. I asked her what happen if you guys don’t have enough people would I get my money back. She said no the company had already charged them.
I met with another rep the next day (Jackson) he’s also useless by the way I had to repeat my situation again since no one briefed he said he will try to have two more people to schedule the excursion he will leave me a message under my door by 5:00 pm to let me know if the excursion will take place the next morning he never did and I even checked with the receptions to see if they have a message for me they told me know. The next morning one of the staff came knocking at my door to tell us that the bus is waiting for us. I wished he had confirmed with us like he promised he will do because we left with no food in our stomach, very little stuff in our bag for the day. Plus when you purchased the excursion it said that lunch is also included. No lunch was included we had to buy our own lunch. A very bad experience. No more excursion with Sunwing never again.

I went there for one night and that was all I needed.
The hotel/resort doesn’t worth the money you pay for nights, the food has no taste at all, we tried several dishes at the buffet (breakfast and lunch) and none of them were tasty even the desserts!!... I don’t feel to go back there and less paying 180 for a night, what a waste of money. Friendly staff but facilities and food needs to improve a lot!

We happened to come across this hotel on our travels around Panama and it was amazing. We stayed for 2 days which for me was about the right amount of time as I'm not a lover of all inclusive. There's no question that this is an exclusive resort the restaurants were great the rooms are huge with sea views. Then there is the beach which is probably one of the best I have scene. Long white sand which reminded me off a James bond film..... Is it expensive Yep was it worth the money Yep.
