Spent one night here after arriving in Trujillo a night earlier than expected due to flight changes. We booked through Wotif as we were boarding the plane from Lima (so around 1 hour before we were arriving). The hotel staff were friendly, and even though they spoke limited English, they seemed used to using google translate (with voice) to communicate anything really important. The room and bathroom were fine, but it was quite hot and the room we had on the third floor didn't have any external windows so it was a bit stuffy, there was a small fan which helped. The location of the hotel is ok, it is right on the edge of the historical town centre, around 5 blocks walk to the main plaza. We walked to and from the city centre at night, but the area just around the hotel was not busy so I wouldn't recommend walking late at night, especially if you are alone.
