Large room, peaceful surroundings however basic cleaning standards could be improved

This hotel has so much to offer but appears to need new and interested management. The layout of the buildings are great and is set in peaceful surroundings. The rooms are large, high ceilings and old world marble floors. Cleaning wasn't adequate, we couldn't go bare foot on the floors as the soles of our feet would get dirty. The floors needed to be mopped and the rooms had a build up of dust. I noticed other public areas of the hotel i.e. sitting room etc had a build up of dust also. The whole place needed a total clean and freshen up. WiFi did not work in rooms, could only be accessed in reception area. Such a pity to see what could be a beautiful appealing hotel with apathetic management.
It could be so much better

There were obviously a wide range of rooms available at this hotel, but the one we were assigned left a lot to be desired. WiFi didn't reach the room. There were no tea or coffee making facilities, nor was there a frig or bottled water available. The bathroom had wires hanging from the ceiling and wall from where the fan and light presumably used to be. The buildings and locality were magnificent and with some serious maintenance and TLC this place could be so much different. The staff in the restaurant sadly lacked training and the bill we were presented with at the end of our stay didn't represent what we had actually eaten or drunk.
Heritage Property but service issue

We stayed in Polo Heritage for two days during our last leg of our Rajasthan Trip. We were in group of four families with six kids in age group of 10-16 Yrs.
Location: Location of the Hotel is very good, in civil lines area of Jodhpur surrounded by Heritage Bungalows.
Property: It is a Heritage property. Rooms are very big with very high ceiling which makes it very spacious. Property can be maintained better.
Service: Attitude of staff was good but certain basic services expected from any Hotel were missing. Management need to ensure availability of basic things like – Availability of drinking water in all rooms, Working AC, Clean towels as part of daily cleaning, Towels in Swimming pool
Food: No major issue with Food but there is good scope of improvement. Again staff attitude was good but management was not proper.
Over-all: I would recommend only if you want to experience Heritage property and not bother about service aspects.

This was a beautiful old hotel dating back to the 1950s.
Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.
The owners are obviously not that concerned about the guests and do not provide a very good service.
The room was huge with a separate large bathroom. That was the good bit.
There was no fridge, no kettle or tea and coffee facilities and no fresh bottled water.
The bed was as hard as a rock and I could not wait to get up in the morning.
The pool was very cloudy and you could not see the bottom. I did not dare have a swim in it.
It has the potential to be good but the owners need to put a lot of work in to get it there.
For the time being, stay somewhere else.
disappointing

We spent two nights at this hotel and were looking forwards to a little rest and time out of a busy schedule of visits in Rajhastan.
Sadly the pool was so cloudy we did not dare swim in it and there were no seats around the pool to relax in.
So, our relaxation had to be on our beds.
The staff were delightful and helpful, but this did not make up for no flushing toilet and a poor choice at breakfast. Luke warm water and tea or instant coffee sachets were also disappointing.
With a little effort and attention, this hotel could be lovely, but presently, you feel nobody cares about the quality of anything.
