Friendly reception staff, great pool but the rest of the hotel needs some serious money spent on it for updating and maintenance. Room was dark and dingy (not like photos), beds were creaky so every time my husband moved it woke me up! One on site restaurant that serves basic American menu of burgers etc. restaurant is small and when we arrived with 2 children at 7pm there was karaoke going which appeared to be older generation locals warbling away. It was loud and quite irritating and with no other restaurants in the vicinity we had no choice but to sit and listen to it! We wandered up to the games room which had 2 pool tables and had quite frankly seen better days.
Breakfast was terrible. Extremely basic (most basic we have had out of 8 hotels we have stayed in) and other guests were eating off napkins because plates had not been restocked and there were no staff to be seen.
This could be a pleasant place to stay but much work needs to be done here I'm afraid to bring it up to standard.

Nice place at the end of the Everglades (seen from Miami). The place looks a bit older and classic but the rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. Pool is nice, staff friendly and we ate in the bar with live music. Grounds look kept and the little harbour looks pretty good. All in all very enjoyable!

I visited in the spring during the dry season. Excellent location in the middle of of the western Everglades. A number of walks into the Everglades, the some short, some long, are near the the hotel. The rooms are a little dated, but for someone looking to explore the swamp they are just fine. They staff was very helpful during my visit. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, but they are not open every night and just average. There are a number of good restaurants in Goodland that is about 20 minutes away if you want one away from the hotel. I would stay there again.

We decided to add an extra night to our stay after we arrived. Kathy went above and beyond to accommodate, thank you. Very clean and efficient room with a outstanding view. Beautiful grounds. Reasonably priced.

Pretty old fashioned building with clean room, big pool, very good restaurant, free parking and perfect staff. Only the bathroom is small and basically equipped. There are many possibilities for activities in Everglades. Many tours begin in the marina right next to the hotel.
