This is a fairly standard Marriot Business Hotel.
It is nicely located only a half hour from Southampton Airport and close to Portsmouth.
The rooms are spacious with two double beds in my room. Its right next to some shops so if you need to get anytihing is a handy walk right next door.The staff were friendly and helpful .
Only slight downside was that some of the rooms overlook the bar and restaurant area so it was quite noisy at times at night.

Visited the Portsmouth Marriott again. Staff are as friendly and helpful as ever. Rooms are a good size with nice comfortable beds.
We were looked after for our stay with good drinks and nice food. We will be staying again at some time.

Stayed in one of the re furnished rooms.. nicely decorated.. massive bed.. enabled six year old to stay in same bed without additional cost of a family room.. they let dogs in the hotel.. however it does not detract from the cleanliness... you can smell the pool when going into the lobby but did not feel it over powering.. staff were super friendly... there is a pub directly next door and a large tescos is 5 minutes walk away.. only downside is it is a good ten minutes drive from Portsmouth.. we were visiting son at uni and spent an age in horrific traffic in Portsmouth back and forth...

Yes, it's your typical American continental hotel so you should know what to expect when staying at a Marriott. It is very convenient and close to the harbor area and a short taxi ride will get you there in around 10 minutes.
The hotel itself is well cared for and the check in was straight forward by very friendly staff. The room was as expected, clean, with all the appointments your Marriott hotels offer.
The dinning area was central to the lobby, open with plenty of tables. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and it exceeded our expectations.
If you are a traveler with a family the Marriott will certainly accommodate your group. I would certainly stay at the Portsmouth Marriott the next time visiting the region.

Stayed her for 2 nights and found it very comfortable with very good food. Despite arriving when a wedding reception was in full swing, so very busy on our first evening, the staff were amazingly helpful and especially so having chosen this hotel principally because it has EV charging facilities and found the charging spaces blocked on arrival by wedding guests. Reception staff clearly understood we needed charging as our car is all electric, not a hybrid and made sure the facilities were available and reserved ASAP. Enjoyed a full day in Portsmouth including an excellent hotel breakfast and evening meal as well as touring the Historic Dockyard and doing some well deserved shopping at Gunwharf Quays. After a second comfortable night we departed with our car fully recharged for our long homeward journey having thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
