Posada Pereguins was my first stop after landing in Lima at 1am. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport. He was friendly and professional. The clerk spoke English and was welcoming. We stayed in a clean and comfortable room on the forth floor. In the morning, we were served a filling breakfast on the patio outside our room. Overall, an excellent way to start your journey!

Posada Peregrinus was an awesome place to stay. We were on our way back from visiting Machu Picchu and wanted to spend some time in Lima. Lima is divided into districts, and the Posada Peregrinus is in the Pueblo Libre district. Ricardo and Esther were the most helpful hosts. They would give suggestions on places to visit and eat. The room we had was just fine. The bathroom was clean and there was a kitchenette right outside the door that was shared with the other room on our floor. They served breakfast in the little kitchenette area every morning. The location was great. We were in walking distance to Museo Larco, a famous museum with treasures from ancient Peru. There were lots of kids in the neighborhood and plenty of little places to catch a bite. We were able to visit some of the other districts. Miraflores was the touristy district and only a $5 cab ride away. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back here again.
Good location, good value, great owners

Good base for Lima. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfy. The owners are extremely helpful --- they helped us with getting bus tickets (they are travel agents) and oriented us on how things work and where things are in Lima.
Very friendly people willing to help..a nice experience.

My family and I had a very good time...is a very quite and cozy place..the owners were always very respectful and gave us useful advise of places to visit in the area we expect to return next
year.We recommended this place to our friends and family.
Very basic guesthouse in the middle of nowhere

The location of this modest guesthouse was an enigma for all taxi drivers.Three of them refused to take me from the bus station, the last one asked me an enormous price for the transport.
This is not a place for a tourist interested to visit the city.It is very far from the centre of Lima, it is necessary to take a bus from a bus station situated very far from the property.I couldn't see any restaurant or decent supermarket in the proximity. Just a dirty market in the area, it was possible to buy some bananas and water.
Posada Peregrinus is the name of the travel agency .The owners had smiling faces and could speak English language.Do not book here tickets, tours, transfer for airport! All was very expensive.
In the same building lives the family of the owners. For the guests they have 5 or 6 rooms situated in the last floors.Very difficult to go in the room with a great luggage. It's impossible to describe the abrupt and tall stairs, how long and difficult was to escalade it.
My room was very basic, dirty, without comfort. No fan or aircon. It was terrible hot in the end of March, difficult to sleep.A shared bathroom for three rooms.Towels with a dubious colour.A shower without good pressure.
Fortunatelly, I stayed just a night, my last night in Peru before to take my plane.Few guests choose this place .It was cheap, 25$/night but it's impossible to see something in Lima ,the location is bad.
Very basic breakfast for me ,without natural coffee.Later I was surprised to see a rich breakfast with empanadas and omelette prepaid for a man from Brazil.Very curious!
I was very happy to leave this smelling guesthouse.Four taxi drivers refused to take me for the airport(6 km). Finally, I paid 10 $ for the transfer to a taxi driver.
I cannot recommend this guesthouse to others fellow travelers.
