Looks nothing like the photos!

When checking in, friends were given a key card to a room that already had a woman in it! (she was very shocked when they walked in i can tell you!) - reception didnt check and thought it was funny... after travelling many hours we were less impressed.

Finally got the right room, we were promised a 3 bedroom, turned out to be 1 bunk bed and 2 single bases with a queen matress over the top (meaning we couldnt seperate the single bases) so had to top and tail... good thing we were all close friends i suppose. When we tried to fix the situation with the staff they were very rude and unhelpful so we gave up and accepted our fate.

The rooms were tiny and cramped, barely enough space to put our bags on the floor, the bathroom was like a portaloo (the toilet was so close to the shower that you actually had to put your legs in the shower if you wanted any room while sitting on the throne.

Not conveniently located... about 1 hour walk along the waterfront to get to the restaurants/centre of town (in 20+ degree temperatures expect to get to dinner sweaty and tired) or if you uber, roughly about a 12-15 euro trip when not busy. You can catch the bus outside - we just happened to be there during the bus strikes so wasnt very helpful for us. Also beware of the prostitutes about 100m down the road standing on the street... walking passed them to get to the hotel may result in being yelled at in French...

Hostel is across the road from an active airport so tended to be a bit noisy in the morning... least you can see all the rich peoples privately owned jets parking up.

The elevator sucks, there are 2 but they are very slow and with the frequent check in/check out of tours like top deck, contiki, flash pack etc, the use of the lifts is virtually impossible so prepare to walk up and down alot of stairs.

Didnt even bother trying breakfast in the small shared kitchen

Do yourself a favour and dont stay here...

This hotel was horrible! not only different from the pictures and far from the center of the city, it was also dirty with very bad service. We took a room for 3 people that was too small even for 2, the shower was tiny and disgusting, one of the lights was broken and the water got everything wet! We didn't get enough towels or toilet paper, and for the entire night everything smelled from cigarettes although the rooms are supposedly smoking free. And on top of everything the cleaning lady entered our room in the morning without knocking! I would never go back there and neither should you!

The elevator sucks

It keeps stopping at floor three (reception) and bottom floor (ground level entry) at each pass with means a lot of time is wasted when the elevator is full.

Worst thing is that entry from the garage is almost impossible as the car fills up at the bottom floor on the way to the garage as it's making the mandatory stop :/

Closest Hotel to Nice airport

This is a very well managed,clean and efficient hotel, about 600 meters from the terminal 1, good for overnight sleep before flying out from Nice Airport. Staff were very helpful with check in and printing boarding passes. One person in particular by the name of Mansour was outstanding. I wished they had a shuttle. The transfer to and from airport by cab irrespective of proximity to the airport is 25 Euros each way. The hotel offers parking for 10 Euros / night. Drivers who park outside in front of the hotel in tow away zone like many do, be aware that I saw myself police having cars towed from there, which will be a nightmare for a traveller with rental car due to fly out the next day.

This was not a pleasant experience. Pickings were slim in Nice, and every other hotel (within my organisation's budget) had been booked out. And so I ended up here. It is on the world famous Promenade Des Anglais, but at the far western tip of this boulevard, and so nowhere near where you'd likely want to be. There were buses that would take you towards the more pleasant areas, or you could walk for what was probably 40 or so minutes.

Not much in the surrounding area to commend itself. It is over the road from the airport, but it is not an airport hotel. I don't think it is walking distance, as it's pretty much as far from the terminal as it is possible to get. In fact, what is over the road is the parking apron for the private jets that head to Nice. Needless to say, the passengers of those jets aren't likely to use this establishment.

We arrived very late at night, and had to walk past a couple of ladies who were peddling their wares outside of the door. We were unable to go up to the Reception straight away, as you can only get there by using the lift, and the Reception was packed out so much that no-one from the lift could get out to enter the hotel. There was only one man on the desk, who took a very long time. No sense of urgency whatsoever, despite the fact it was in the early hours of the morning and there were a significant number of people wanting to check in. So not great awareness of customer needs.

The room itself was basic. Sure, it was a bed for the night, but the room wasn't clean in part, and it was dark and cramped. The bathroom was tiny. The shower was so close to the toilet, one could have showered whilst sat on it. It was also extremely narrow, and so from time to time the slightly manky curtain clung to my skin as I showered.

I did not take breakfast. There was an advert which made it look appetising, but I had second thoughts when I saw what was really on offer. Sleep was not great, with noise coming from other rooms and folk returning from nights out very late. Don't begrudge that - it is a hotel in a holiday town. But a bit of sound insulation would have been welcome.

Would I stay here again? It's a "firm no". Location was poor, decor and cleanliness really not good, and the staff weren't always friendly or efficient. I have to say, some staff were good. But in a hotel - that's not enough. They all need to be good, otherwise they let the side down.
