Lovely property, well maintained, great furnishings, transporting you to a Victorian age! Close enough to the beach, but away from the din and noise of the attendant crowds of the beach. Very peaceful and quiet and a great pool - just what we needed! Some great restaurants within 10 minutes drive of the hotel. Very hospitable staff, courteous and helpful in suggesting places/things to do, and beaches to visit. Highly recommended place for those seeking to soak up the Goa atmosphere tucked into a cozy place, but close enough to a beach! Thank you!
Needs work .

It’s a good colloquial property , quietly nestled in the heart of Calangute . Away from all the noise.
Food is basic home cooked meals , which is a breather when you eat 3/4 meals outside .
Unfortunately the property has not been maintained and rooms need a lot of work to be done . Few things that dint work for me -
1/ dampness in the room
2/ dirty carpet in the room
3/ Bathroom water coming rusted smell . I am guessing these are rusted overhead tanks !
If anyone is listening here please work on these areas you have a good property but you are ruining the experience!
Great experience !!

We were a family of four and stayed in one of their Double Rooms called 'Daisy' and our overall experience was serene and nice.
The Room has a very antique feel to it with all the furniture being colonial type. Although rated as a 5/4 star property please don't expect a 5/4star experience. If you are the type of a traveller who believes in exploring and comes back to the room only for a limited time, then the rooms are fine as they are pretty simple with necessary facilities. However, the bathroom and bed linen are pretty clean and the staff comes everyday to clean the rooms.
One thing I observed and disliked was that when asked to change the used cups the cleaner merely took those cups in bathroom sink, rinsed them and kept the same back.
Apart from that the property in itself is pretty decent and offers a very 'close to nature' feel to your stay. Unfortunately we had been here during monsoons so the place didn't have pretty much to offer us, but it does have a fully functional pool, a bar etc.
Breakfast is included in your tariff and it's not a buffet system. They ask you to chose the breakfast from the options they have to offer a day in advance. I really liked this considering there is limited wastage of food.
Overall a great experience and I would love to be here again during summer/winter during peak season.
PATHETIC & RUDE BEHAVIOR

please don't go for this hotel the positive rewies which are shown on verius website is just the one side of the coin.
we can still leave the good food , good views, location, distence these point still someonce can consider but the way the treat us it was horrible and it was not at all expected by anyone.
so we booked one room for check in 25 & check out on 26 aug,2017 and we reached there around 12:00 noon but hotel people clearly denied to providing any room before 04:00 pm and it was very heavy rain i was travling along with my old uncle and aunt dispite of having enough room in the hotel they denied stating its out policy why u booked from another website if u would have book this from our end directly then only we can give something extra very very very bad behaviour.
and next day they denied for buffet breakfast stating there was only one or two type of dish available but it was not buffet u can not take secong boil ege after having one so again it was very very pathitic response by them so i will never ever recomend this hotel to anyone
thank you

Loved staying in this beautiful Portuguese inspired hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and picked us up from the airport free of charge. They recommend the best beaches, bars, restaurants etc... to visit and organised taxis for us.
There was a great choice for breakfast to set you up for the day, which could be delivered to your patio outside of your room if you wished. I would recommend the scrambled egg on toast and seasonal fruit. The lunch and dinner menu was also very good. All freshly prepared and tasty, in particular the Chicken satay for a starter or snack.
The pool area was a little paradise, very relaxing and peaceful. the hotel was quiet when we were there so we pretty much had to pool to ourselves. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and the Aircon was a godsend at night time.
Goa is a beautiful place to explore from the food, beaches, local town, markets and nightlife. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay with lots of character.
