October Cycle Trip

Visited this fantastic 'resort' style hotel with SunVelo for an autumn cycle holiday. Great location for cycling north/south/inland and for pottering around the beach or local centres at Playa Muro, Alcudia and Pollenca. Lots of facilities including a secure underground bike store, bookable massages, spa, pools etc. Rooms are recently refurbished and very chic with huge bed, enormous bathroom with a shower you could hold a disco in and a nice balcony overlooking the nature area away form the roads. Food was good on half board with a nice buffet area for both breakfast and dinner with lot sof choice and variety night to night. Great service from the staff.
Fantastic hotel perfect for families with small children

My wife and I were very happy with this hotel. Is our second time in Majorca. I would said that if you travel with babies or kids, this is the perfect hotel, you have a kitchen and fridge in the room where you can store your baby's food and there is market inside of the hotel where you can find all you need if you don't have breakfast included. The staff was super friendly. The beach in front was very good for children. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. And they provide entertainment in the bar every night so you can have a lot of fun. The only bad experience we had was with the food truck, we didn't like the burgers and more if you compare with the quality of food of the pool's restaurant that was excellent, but everything else was so good that I am giving 5 stars with my eyes closed.
Great hotel a stone throw from the beach

I stayed here for a week with my wife and young son after booking through Thomas Cook. The hotel was well presented and looked after with everything being off the central pool area which is nice and big with several different pools all interconnected. The staff were all very friendly and spoke perfect English (putting my language skills to shame). The room itself, a 1 bedroom apartment, was a good size and they had already put a cot in it for us without any asking or pre-booking which was a nice touch. The WiFi works well for anyone with a dependency on being connected and there were English language TV channels with CBeebies, a god send for anyone with an under 5 in those early mornings. We had lunch here most days in the pool side restaurant and we were really pleased with the quality and the price of the food. Children's meals especially were good with all of them under €5 pretty much. This hotel does full board but not all inclusive so depends what you are looking for. We went self catering and used some of the local restaurants which was a bit hit and miss so you might want full board. October was a great time to visit and make the most of the last of the sun and I would certainly recommend this hotel.
perfect place

the hotel on arrival was quite un assuming not making any loud statements of what is inside... sat in a quiet street in quite pleasant surroundings. but what became one of the best hotels i had the pleasure of staying in. considering its 4* premier status i felt i was in somewhere far more exclusive and much further away.
we are family of 4 staying in a premium apartment ground floor, which considering the cost difference from a standard room the choice was simple.
the rooms are extremely well laid out and very luxurious and tastefully done. with every thing of the highest quality...even a coffee machine !!! with daily replenishments too... as well as the fridge also re stocked daily with water sparkling and still... soft drinks and a couple of beers too... which was quite the shock the first time the maid knocked...explaining the complimentary service..which not only included the re stock every day ...the bathroom condiments were also replenished..and not just soap...everything..shampoo creams etc etc etc..even giving us a printed weather forcast for the next day...speechless.!!
the bathroom itself is a show piece ..large walk in shower big enough for all of us ...a full size bath...all of the highest quality... topped off with a huge bedroom , huge emperor size bed.. dressing gowns and slippers.. 4 star.??.. felt like 5 star middle east style... the garden is huge too with jacuzzi lounge bed table chairs and sun patio... all secluded...to say we felt special was an understatement. the kids were ecstatic... oh with a play-station and two massive TV's was just the cherry on top..
once we came down to earth on the room we ventured outside to the complex,
which was beautiful.. the gardens and pools were exquisite...and obsessively maintained. laid out in a palm tree lined oasis of scenarios ..to say paradise does not do it justice...4* is just not what we felt at all..
then came the facilities entertainment and restaurants... the kids were constantly occupied with all sorts of activities supplied by the entertainment team with the kid area which was huge and provides a mountain of cool activities... worth every penny just for that !! every body could speak most languages ..including English..even the cleaners...
the pool bar and restaurant is first class boasting a fantastic menu all of huge portions at very reasonable prices..the staff are superb too..very attentive and welcoming...
breakfast included.... the only word i can use is epic.... every conceivable breakfast is available fresh and in abundance the kids experienced some quite unusual combinations.... kid in a candy store comes to mind..... again excellent quality too..
a breakfast banquet fit for a king..my lad said. he was not wrong.!
the staff in general are very accommodating professional yet genuinely nice..and will cater for your every need you may have. all in all quite overwhelming and not expected at all.. to say this hotel is perfect if you have a young family and want a nice rest this is it... far from the typical package hotels that are available elsewhere on the island...this place is VIP by comparison.
with that said the deluxe roof garden rooms looked amazing and even better than our choice...with a sneaky weekend pencilled in without the kids next year.as the adult facilities were just as good being very well catered for too..and neither groups seemed to interfere with the overall harmony of the facility. having a brief time at the bar with entertainment..seeing the international crowd all mixing and enjoying themselves we definitely will explore that more in the near future. when the kids are a little older.
so it's not just a family hotel...it has been very very well planned out...being a seasoned world traveller....i could not find fault anywhere... exceptionally clean and of the nicest quality...deserves 5* without doubt. and very affordable too..we will without any doubt go again and will recommend this to anyone...its a must see.
thank you la dorada for an absolutely wonderful stay. hasta la proxima.
Great family hotel

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Muro beach. Pools are good, especially for kids. We went in the high season, lots of families with children. It can get a bit crowded around the pool areas, but we still managed to find sun beds. Staff were really service minded and helpful. We first got a room with a door connecting to the neighbouring room, you could hear the neighbour walk and talk, so we asked for a different room and were moved to another room which was great.
Breakfast in the food hall was really good, we also tried the dinner buffet inside the food hall, which was good. For an outdoor dinner experience we prefer some of the restaurants nearby in Muro, or in Alcudia or Pollensa. The bar area however was quite nice, with outdoor tables. The kids loved the pool tables, table tennis and mini golf on the resort.
