I stayed in this hotel which was advertised by the organisers of the conference. The hotel is quiet and staff were courteous and nice. Security is fine.
If you are used to the normal Protea room then you will be disappointed by the size of the bed in their standard room. It was small! I am yet to see a smaller bed in any hotel let alone one run by Protea. That took away some of the gloss from my stay. I will recommend this hotel for someone not bothered by the size of the bed. An ideal hotel if you want peace and serenity.

The staff was very welcoming and kind and most helpful. I was there for my auntie's 70th Birthday and I truly felt at home. It is my new favorite place to stay on the island.
Additionally, the price was reasonable

The staff tends to ignore the requests a lot
They don't charge in dollars
The room will say ocean view but it is actually a common balcony of the whole set of rooms
Breakfast buffet options are very very small
Construction happening around, so you will feel tremors in the room every morning
The bathroom is just like the one you will have it in your house.

With a great location by Kuramo waters and a lovely view, privacy away from the madness of Victoria Island, courteous staff, this hotel is let down by the mediocre level of hygiene. I had to ask for room to be cleaned again my my presence before I could unpack. The room was dusty, nooks and crannies dirty, remote control had crust, windows not cleaned in years, floor mopped but not swept. I decided as I unpacked that I would not shower there but rather stay the night and shower elsewhere. Just a little bit of effort could take this hotel to another level.

I will advice you not to think of staying at this hotel. The view to the beach is tempting but please don't deceived by it.
I booked this place with the aim of staying for two nights but I had to check out the next day. Rooms too small. The bathroom is so tiny you can hardly move around in it.
I gave it two stars because of the nice staff and the location.
