My sisters and I went to Chicago for a weekend for my birthday. The staff at the ambassador were absolutely amazing! So friendly. Our rooms were very clean. The hotel was within walking distance of Gibson's, Carmine's and Michigan Ave. We asked for a refrigerator and one as brought up to the room right away.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel is located in one of the the most beautiful neighborhoods in Chicago. It also contains a stunningly gorgeous sitting room — one of the classiest common areas I've ever seen.
But here's the problem: Management has decided it's OK to anger its guests and treat them like second-class citizens — if there's enough money involved.
Let me explain.
I booked a week at the hotel in mid-November.
For five of those days, the hotel barred its paying guests from entering the sitting room. This wasn't just any room. This is the ONLY room for guests who wanted to enjoy a drink or a cup of coffee next to its roaring fireplace.
Only employees from a chain of car dealerships where allowed in. All week long other guest had to watch as these special employees enjoyed the room that is the biggest selling feature of the hotel.
The rest of us were relegated to a busy, drafty lobby where we sat and complained to each other about the arrogant hotel management. When another guest wandered into the sitting room, he would be quickly (and awkwardly) escorted out.
When I asked one of the managers if closing the room was standard policy, he said, "oh yes, we're planning on booking the room as much as we can."
So BE WARNED: If you book this hotel, you will be confined to your hotel room.
P.S. There is a famous restaurant located in the Ambassador, the former Pump Room now named Booth One. But it's hugely expensive, so it's not a reasonable alternative to the sitting room.
And get this — hotel guests were barred from this restaurant as well.
I was turned away three nights in a row because I was not on a private invitation list.
Consider yourself warned.

Big room. Classy hotel with great staff. Currently missing reastrauts but nice bar. Was upgraded to top floor with excellent mini bar and huge room. Nice area in Chicago to remove yourself from downtown but still very close. Would recommend.

A guys trip for baseball and fun. The location is great for eating, drinking and baseball games at Wrigley. It is an older property, but very well maintained. The staff were great.
Second time staying here and will come back.

The hotel is very beautiful and offers all the facilities here, there is also a fitness center and there is also free Wi-Fi and there is also resturent, this hotel is very good and there are all types of dishes available in the restaurant.
