The hotel is located very close to the Queen Street Mall. Staff were welcoming. Room was clean and a good size with a bath and shower over bath. Nespresso + instant coffee. Quiet. Comfortable bed. We ate breakfast in the executive lounge - ok but nothing special, seats very low, staff absent or slow. We had a lunch and dinner in the restaurant both good quality and good value - friendly staff but almost no ambience - serviceable but unexceptionable.

We recently spent 5 nights at the Pullman. The location is perfect to explore Brisbane. The staff were all extremely courteous and offer a fantastic service especially the concierge team. The hotel itself is a little dated and there are renovation works in progress but it is still a great place to stay. There is some noise from the road - motorbikes that accelerate from the lights but this hotel is right in the city. If you are really sensitive to noise ask for a room to the back of the hotel. We couldn't fault the service we received by the hotel staff. The meal in the restaurant was really nice and the service good but we weren't asked if we wanted drinks or water after the first drink which was disappointing. We would definitely stay at the Pullman again.

When we booked we asked for a room with city views, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted something special. The only view we had was overlooking the church, train station and adjacent construction. They are renovating the hotel currently and as per the note in our room this will go ahead on Mondays and Tuesdays, so no noise affected our weekend stay, although the sight of it is unpleasant out the window.
I would have thought a hotel with this star rating (4-5 star) would have maybe left a welcome note and a congratulations card, as we had mentioned it was our anniversary when booking, but no.
The way the bed was made was quite strange with the pillows and cushions all lined up sideways on the bed. Perhaps a modern twist but it wasn't appealing to me.
The bathrooms are dated with a yellowish marble tile on floors and walls with dark green sinks.
Overall the hotel needs a revamp and for what we paid for one night (nearly $400) we wish we'd chosen another hotel.
We did ask if there were any other rooms available with better views, as we were underwhelmed with the one we had, and they said they would call back once they spoke to the manager. We didn't get a call back. So four hours later we called again and they informed us we couldn't change rooms, but they then put a bottle of champagne in our room and organised for two free cocktails at the rooftop bar upstairs.
At checkout we called ahead of time as we had utilised parking, so they could have our car ready for when we checked out. They said that was fine and they would bring the car up but when we came down to check out they hadn't, and we had to inform them again and wait.
Overall it was ok .. but nothing great. Definitely not a luxurious stay.

Short walk to shopping mall, restaurants, historical buildings and transport (train stations close by). Onsite valet parking, restaurant and cafe. Room service.
Excellent customer service. Comfortable rooms.

The perfect location to explore Brisbane; only a short walk to Southbank and its great choice of restaurants and the cultural centre. For the shoppers, it's only block from major shops. Our check-in was seamless and welcoming. We had access to the executive lounge, which is okay, however, it could have a wider selection of Australian wines. Service was excellent; thank you Kit. My only complaint would be the low seats/tables, which are not designed for eating breakfast, so we decided to use the main restaurant for breakfast. Here the service and breakfast buffet was very good. It was nice to receive a welcoming smile form the chefs and wait staff. We also had dinner in the restaurant and I can recommend the whole snapper, however, the restaurant ambience is not all that flash, more like a slightly upmarket cafeteria, so if you are looking for a romantic dinner this might not be the place. Our room was large, well appointed and comfortable. Overall a pleasant, but not outstanding weekend stay.
