It's a nice place. The reception girl offered me to upgrade my room. I accepted it because I really liked to have a room with ocean view. Unfortunately the view was not as I expected.
The room was nice and tidy.

Our stay was only overnight to attend an event in Cairns. The check in was unhelpful - I was asked if I had stayed before and when saying no I assumed we would be directed to our room or at least the elevator. So we went to the wrong side of the hotel and had to come back to ask for directions. Paying by card on arrival I expected a receipt or email confirmation but nothing - we received an email on checkout. We had booked a room for 3 people ( room can accommodate 4) but the room only had 2 towels and 2 mugs. The room was clean and bathroom well sized. It's disappointing as other reviews talk about the great staff and communication - after staying in many hotels around the country this has been the least welcoming and for the price I would expect more although maybe our price had inclusions we were not aware of due to poor communication.

I was in Cairns for a weeks work and my wife accompanied me. Both of us enjoyed the stay and the hospitality. The hotel is very welcoming, rooms are large and airy and the staff very helpful. A delightful hotel for work or pleasure.

The hotel is located close to the pier, shops and restaurants. The staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful and tried hard to resolve a door lock problem that occurred. We had a great room, large, clean and with a balcony. The bar was good with a great barman. The restaurant looked nice but unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to try it.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out (after collecting our bags AFTER Checkout time) the experience was wonderful. The staff were so happy to help, and I appreciated the extra mile they went to allow me to surprise long time friends I had not seen for 23 years.
