We had a blast. Glad there wasn’t too much snow on the ground yet. Because we aren’t snow people, we are from Arizona and it got chilly for us at 19 degrees.

Bailey Lon 09/10/2017 21:19I had planned a weekend get away for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. The only reason I got a hotel room at Purgatory was because I had rented a RZR vehicle for the next day pretty early. Unfortunately, the season for the RZR was over so Colorado Outback Adventures had to cancel on me. In light of this I decided to cancel the room as I had planned to do something else. I left the manager a message and he got back to me in a timely manner and was totally understanding about the situation. Although I cant say much for the room I did want to acknowledge how amazing the reservation agent was as well as the management for the facility. I would highly suggest booking with this hotel.
Amazing Views Across the Valley
Runningcoachon 08/10/2017 23:21We rented a 1-bedroom w/a murphy bed. While the bed was a bit smaller than we preferred it was still more than adequate and at an amazing price. Add in the fireplace and kitchenette and we were perfectly content. It was a bit of a commute into Durango but we preferred the solitude. Every bit of the commute to get into Durango or Silverton is well worth the amazing scenery, especially on the final weekend of September when the leaves are reaching their peak.
Not A Skier But Enjoyed My Stay

I wanted to stay somewhere in the area so I could easily travel to Silverton and Durango both. My room was like a small condo complete with a mini kitchen and full bath. If you are lucky enough to be there in the fall when the leaves are turning, it is a real experience! Room service probably is not available, you are pretty much on your own but it’s still a very pleasant place to stay.
