Stayed here for two days for Business. Breakfast spread is amazing. The hotel staff is courteous even though they have difficulty in understanding & speaking English. They take an effort to understand you. Overall good for Business travelers

A former Sofital Hotel which shows and maintain s the 5 star experience. Service is great and responsive. The breakfast buffet is excellent and included in the room rate. Ask for rooms with the river few. Very spectacular and the evening lights rival HK,, Macau and Shanghai.

Good location, near to "everything". Staff quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good, mix of Asia-Western, so I think everybody can find something.
Room ok, bed ok. Just stayed one night. Near to river, but other than that not much to see.

After firs very good impresion when entering in to the lobby, I faced first challenge: how to talk with front desk staff, who is not speaking english? Front desk lady also did not know to use credit card and refused it as non working. After several minutes, looking for a supervisor, he managed to use it for a deposit. Room was nice, clean and confortable. Bed as well.
The next challenge was how to sleep? In the next door room 1501, some people celebrated birthday anniversery long over the midnight, served by hotel staff directly in to the room. Hotel manager should know, that there are other people in the hotel as well, who wants to sleep and should book other rooms away from 1501. Room had also a bit confused switches for the lightning system.
In the morning I had a nice view over the Bei river and small iland.
Breakfast had very limited western food.

It is true that the location is not one of the best... But the price is reasonnable for the quality that you get! I stayed there a couple of times and I Will definitely go back to this place, the next time that I will be in Qingyuan!
