I stayed here for a business trip for a week and the hotel was great.
The staff was super friendly and the rooms were good enough to come and sleep at night.
The restaurant had great service with several options to choose from the menu.

I had just stayed at another hotel in San Jose for 3 weeks with absolutely no problems. This hotel was a last minute arrangement to catch an early flight the next morning. What a MISTAKE!! Upon checking into our room, we found the beds 1/2 made with dirty laundry in the tub. Perfect. Back to the front desk to get a new room. This room was ok I guess. Dingy and cramped and smelled like mold. Not a problem, I had a candle. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The next morning at 0530 I took the ice bucket to the restaurant to get ice. Upon returning to my room, I saw an employee down the hall sliding papers under the doors. I went into my room, turned on the shower, got undressed and almost into the shower when I heard a knock on my door. I ignored it and went to step into the shower when the knock came again but more insistent. I threw on my husbands dress shirt, looked thru the peep whole and cracked the door just as a 3rd knock was coming. As I cracked the door, there was the male employee with papers in his hand taking a step towards my door (he was almost inside my room). He then looked me up and down, LITERALLY UP and DOWN (I'm a blonde skinny thing) while he said "hello!!" (insert spanish accent). I grabbed the paper and literally shoved the door shut on him. I was so pissed that I threw on some shorts and ran into the hallway. By this time the guy was around the corner sliding papers under doors. The paper by the way, was to let us know of a fire drill later that day. When I caught up to him I asked in Spanish why he slid papers under all the other doors and felt the need to knock on mine. He looked at me, stunned because I speak Spanish, then proceeded to tell me he could do what I want. I did yell at him and he actually yelled back at me. Well, that didn't sit to well with me and I went to the front desk to request the manager. After some hesitation a gentleman appeared. I explained everything to him and he seemed less than worried about the situation. I let him know that I am a Flight Attendant (20 years) and have stayed in hotels around the world and NEVER had I had an experience such as this. There was NO level of comprehension of wrong doing much less the customer is always right and maybe give me an apology. This event happened in August 2017 and as of October 2017, I am still waiting for a formal response from this hotel. I would stay anywhere in Costa Rica EXCEPT this hotel

Great price, really accesible as well as the location of the hotel.
Great rooms clean and really comfortable, only downside was could not connect Apple TV to tv to watch fotos and movies.
Great food, awesome breakfasts

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a tour to Costa Rica,
Hotel is not in the centre of town but in a large lot surrounded by a few restaurants one of which we ate in.. but that's another review! , hotel lovely and clean,really enjoyed the breakfast there, nice little pool. Ate in the hotel on the first and last night which we enjoyed and much the same price as we encountered throughout Costa Rica.

This is my go to place when traveling to San Jose for a weekend away. Very nice people, clean, awesome breakfast buffet and room service too. It is however missing some things that are pretty important when staying more than just a night, such as a refrigerator and microwave. These are standard at the Quality Inns in the USA and we normally use both a lot, especially when traveling with kids. Other than that this is a great place and we always feel safe and comfortable here. It's close to stores and lots of good restaurants too.
