I have stayed at this property many times over about the last 15 years. It was formerly a property of one of top tier chains, but became a Quality Inn several years ago. The property is nice; a quiet location with lots of huge trees. However, last week I found that the facility has gone downhill since my earlier visit about 24 months ago. Towels are incredibly thin, and the toilet paper . . . well, the owner should be forced to use this stuff. The breakfast is barely edible; stale cheapest possible bagels, and totally disgusting yogurt (water was the second ingredient). Also, clientele is now very much construction workers - nothing wrong with that. But why did some guy outside my room have to start his diesel truck at 6:01 AM and proceed to let it idle for 45 minutes? I suppose he wanted everyone to start their day with this noise and smelly exhaust.
Staff seemed to be consistently surly. I guess they want to show guests just how much they hate their jobs.
I won't be staying here again. Spend a little more money and try one of the many better properties in this area.

I stayed here with a group of friends during UNC homecoming weekend. Although the hotel was a bit older, I found our stay to be a great value. Our room was clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet is simple, but does the trick when your on the go. I also found the grounds were well-kept and the hotel is located near a CHT bus stop, although the closest stop does not operate on weekends. The hotel does have a shuttle to the hospital though and is a quick UBER/LYFT ride. The only reason I rate four stars over five was another guest in our party noticed her non-smoking room had a tobacco-like smell and had to switch. However, I did not notice this in my room, but I do think it is something for the hotel to remedy.

We visited my daughter at school for Family Weekend. The Quality Inn was only 10 minutes from campus, had clean rooms, and at a very reasonable price. It's nothing fancy, but was an acceptable place to stay. The breakfast room was pretty crowded on the morning, but it was a busy weekend. The grounds are pretty nice for a motel. There was plenty of parking and several restaurants close by.

The hotel is older and a bit outdated, but the room was clean and beds were comfortable. Did have an issue with having to slam the bathroom door hard in order to close it and plumbing noises could be heard loudly through the walls whenever someone flushed, which was annoying.
Also, although the address indicates that it is off a major thoroughfare, it actually isn't. Finding it can be difficult, even with a GPS, as you must take side streets to access the entrance and the sign for the hotel at the entrance is much too small and slightly obscured.

Had a amazing stay here. Nice breakfast nice clean rooms friendly staff comfortable beds it's very close to both chapel hill campus and Durham with plenty of shops restaurant and sight seeing to do. Would stay anytime again
