What People are saying
As always, be careful when staying at hotels...
Kate Don 13/11/2017 23:41We opted on this specific hotel because we have had good luck with this chain in the past.
What we did not like:
Our room had to be switched because the first one did not pass our rigorous bedbug check. There was a bedbug shell (or mult) in one of the drawers in the entertainment center. Photographs were taken. I have not attached them to this review.
We rushed down to the front desk and were able to have our room switched to a different floor no questions asked. The girl at the front desk shut the aforementioned room down right away.
As mentioned by other reviewer the rooms are very dusty and there are crumbs and wrappers under the bed. Crumbs were also in the folds of the mattress and under the sheets.
What we liked:
The breakfast was nice and they allowed for a few extra minutes past 10am for stragglers to eat. We appreciated that. There were hot options like eggs, sausage, and DIY waffles.
The room was very quiet and in a nice location. Easy left turn onto the interstate using the light by the adjacent shopping center.
Price was nice and exactly what we were wanting to pay. It was half the cost of staying at the hotel of the convention we were attending.
Overall:
If the rooms were spotless and we did not find signs of critter (bedbug) activity the stars would be much higher. We've had good luck Quality Inn the past, so this is an upsetting review to leave.
Please beware and always check hotel rooms before bringing in your belongings. I am glad this is standard practice for us. Even though our room was switched it was a cause for concern and worry over the weekend. A "black cloud" if you will. We lived out of trash bags in our new room and did not bring in our luggage. We have also gone through rigorous decontamination with all of our belongings that did end up in the room.
Worst hotel experience ever...
BRIAN Hon 14/08/2017 01:08We had rented 3 rooms, 3d floor for our daughter's bachelorette party. Tape would not stick to the headboards due to thickness of dust! There were food and wrappers behind the nightstand. The air/heat vents had food in them. The "slats" of the air unit had a thick layer of dirt/oily substance built up. There were crumbs all over the window ledge. The toilet in this room did not flush properly and had a "film" in it and odor. The front desk sent a cleaning lady up to our room. She acted offended that we found the room dirty. She told us something about "brown water" occasionally and to keep "jiggling" the handle to flush. Room #2 had BUGS on the mattress and sheets. They were tiny black specks that MOVED and several white worm-like things that moved. The manager was called. She INSISTED there were no bugs! She claims that they have never had "bedbugs". I don't care what kind of bugs they were!!! THEY MOVED!!! The manager started talking loudly and said things in an accusatory way as if it were our fault. She brought a maintenance man in and said he would inspect it with a "special light". He came in with his "light". I asked him if it was the "special light"...no...it was a plain flashlight!!! Room #3 was also dirty. There was something "green/blue" in the tub. It looked like maybe someone spit in the tub. Again...it was said to be something about the water. Room #3 was where we found blood on the sheets on the left corner. I did take pictures of this! The manager at first offered to give us a couple "suites that aren't used that much" so they should be okay. They must not have been okay after she checked them because when she came back she said, "it won't hurt my feelings if you went elsewhere". She actually tried to blame it on us saying "we let you check in early to be nice and so we didn't have time for the final inspection....well that backfired in our face didn't it"? Needless to say we went elsewhere. My daughter was in tears, we were all upset and "itchy" and just wanted to get out of there! AVOID THIS HOTEL - DIRTY AND THE MANAGER WAS RUDE!
A Hotel surrounded by stores and eateries
RONALD Won 04/08/2017 21:46The staff at the Quality Inn, Copley, OH displayed genuine customer service.
When any two or three guest were at the desk, they made sure that we were going to get service, and be able to check in. Check in was timely, and the room was clean upon entering.
The hotel is under renovation, however, the staff would not allow the carpenters, and renovation team to make noise until 9 am.
The AC units are very good at cooling the rooms.
Parking is ample, and the parking lot is illuminated at night.
The breakfast consisted of waffles that the guest cooked. there were hot eggs and sausage, yogurts, coffee, juices, packaged variety oatmeal, assorted dry cereals, fresh bananas, and apples.
There are room advertisements for Dominoes pizza delivery.
The rooms were quiet. The rooms have 37 inch flat screens.
The eateries and stores, consist, of Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, Chile's, Applebys, Chinese Buffet,Home Depot, Walmart, Giant Eagle grocery store.
