Great one night stay

We were only at the Quality Inn for one night but the room was exceptionally clean and fresh. The microwave, coffeemaker, fridge all worked as expected. We experienced a peaceful, restful night. Way to go Quality Inn in Albemarle! We did not use the breakfast area since we are on special diets.

I spent one night at the Quality Inn at Albemarle NC. This was a good place for me to stay that was not near Concord or Kannapolis as I didn't want to deal with the crowds and traffic around those two areas. Also, the cost of staying near those two areas was excessive. The Quality Inn at Albemarle was affordable and I thought a good place for what I paid.

Clean, quiet, safe, don't expect much of a breakfast

I stayed here 2 years ago and don't remember any issues but this time the breakfast bar was never replenished. There were a lot of workmen staying there who wiped out all the "good" stuff before I came down to eat about 8:15. One morning there was nothing where the warm sausage and "egg thingies" were. One morning there were 2 sausage patties. The automatic pancake makes was empty two mornings. (What happened to the waffle machines on the tv ads?) There was plenty of cereal and bread for toast and the standard muffins. Coffee was not real good neither was the orange juice out of the dispenser machine. Rooms were clean and I felt safe--I was traveling alone. Had I known ahead of time that most of the guests were workers, I probably would have paid to have gone to another hotel. Also felt like the price was about $15-$20 too high for what I got--no pool or even an outdoor sitting area.

I used the reviews and photos to make my decision to stay at Quality Inn with my daughter and her 3 year old. I reserved a 1 bedroom suite on the phone with Choice hotels.
We arrived at 8 PM after a family birthday party. We were tired and the 3 year old was at the end of his rope. The hotel is on the main drag between a Sonic and a store. The desk clerk was very sweet and helpful but the small lobby smelled of cigarette smoke.
We took the key fob and headed to room 130. Parking lot was full of construction trucks with workers heading to their rooms. Opening the door...it was 1950. The pull out couch was a small love seat. It was old but I suppose clean. The bedroom was 3 feet from the bed. There was a small barrier wall separating couch from bed. The bed had no bedskirt. It gave me the impression we were in an old B movie. I never walked in to check out the bathroom. Three steps in. I left. The sweet desk clerk refunded my charge.
This is a construction workers style hotel. $85 and you get a clean room with breakfast. But no frills.
I think Quality Inn is just a good bed for the price. For $30 more we stayed at Holiday Inn. It was what worked for 2 adults with a 3 year old. Make sure you reserve in advance. We got the last room.
I think the photos were misleading. Rooms looked larger and more modern.

Because of work, I stay in hotels all across the county for months at a time. I check into this place for one night, I have never wrote a review before, but this can't be pass up. First off, when we check into the hotel the staff was rude, we had requested a non smoking room, but somehow got a smoking room, still a clean bed is better than no bed. But the problem was the bed was dirty, when we ask for clean sheets was told that didn't have any.
