Good place to stay
umcrevwifeon 09/11/2017 01:49We had a very nice room on the first level so we were able to park right at our door. The walkways are very well lit and I felt safe walking back and forth outside to get some exercise after dinner. There is a Cracker Barrel and Denny's within walking distance. (Cracker Barrel next door and Denny's across the road.) I wish I had realized it was right on the interstate--I would have requested a room on the back side since there was a lot of traffic noise from I-81. Breakfast was good. The lady at the front desk in the morning was very friendly and helpful. I regret not getting her name. (Note to Yankees: Do not be offended or take it personally if someone from the south calls you "Sweetheart". Down here it is just a way of being friendly and the way some are raised.) Even though we were only here one night, it spoiled me when the next place we stayed on our vacation was not this nice. This was definitely the nicest Quality Inn we've ever stayed in.
Conveniently right off the interstate..
rozzuon 25/10/2017 19:40Stayed 3 nights on a business trip. Easy to get to, right next to Cracker Barrel and close to VT. Check in was quick. The room was clean although the mattress was not the best. Overall it was quiet. I was able to sleep. Plenty of linen. Breakfast was free and it was of average fare. The telephone in my room did not work and I reported this on check out. Overall I was pleased. Would stay again.
Prices a little high but there was a special event
DeeS9348on 25/09/2017 08:40Prices were almost triple normal price but I expected it to be higher because of the Michael Vick Hall of Fame induction - rooms clean... only problem I had was the door lock... not secure... screws coming out of door deadbolt worked though so I was ok with it... Very friendly service

c4u_fineon 10/09/2017 15:34This is my second stay at this Quality Inn in Christiansburg in last 3months.I had read other reviews and most were positive and a few negative. There was nothing negative about this place. Staff were great. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was Really good.We would go back and stay at this location again and again.
Solid stay with a few missteps
DaysofThundr46on 14/08/2017 07:28I booked this via Hotwire, so I didn't know what I was getting until after I paid. This property is a former Hampton Inn. Check in was smooth and friendly. All rooms are outfacing. Room decor reminds me of what Hampton would of had, which was nice. King sized bed, was comfy, with decent pillows. TV had A LOT of channels, WiFi worked well. Bathroom is a bit dated, but the water was warm, shower lacked enough pressure but it wasn't weak. Nice and easy to use work area. No issues with noise. I did not have the breakfast. I asked at check in about the pool & hot tub. I specifically asked if they were both operable, she said yes. I wake up earlier to enjoy the hot tub the next day, and ofcourse, the hot tub is "Out of Order". I also couldnt access the pool with my key card. I asked at checkout how long theyve been down. She noted the Hot Tub has been down a week and the pool should be open. I advised her of the pool situation. So overall, it was a solid stay, but the staff needs to be advised when something is down.
